I like to use Optimum No Rinse Wash to wash the car. It's polymer based and adds protection. Did my buddy's black A4 and turned out AMAZING. He was blown away and was going to order a gallon of it. My friend with a black S550, Diablo and Mercialago also uses ONR.
Optimum No Rinse Wash
Then after I use Wolfgang Concourse Series Paint Sealant, I use their Deep Gloss Spitz Sealant.

Meiguar's ultimate quick detailer (the black bottle one).
do a quick search on youtube, you can see some demos of it.
i personally use it for in between waxing. its great, sheets of water well.

No wax...just did this to my vehicle today. http://www.permafinish.com
I did it to my 2005 Infiniti FX35 and also to a 1992 Lexus LS400 that I bought in 1997. This is NO joke...NOT a scam...works exactly as advertised. I owned my Lexus for 8 years and did not wax it ONE time. It looked damn good the day I sold it, making the car 13 years old. See pix here: http://www.hazemonster.com/lexus
I did it to my 2 week old Infiniti FX35 and kept it for nearly 3 years....didn't wax it ONE time while owning it, and the paint looked factory fresh. I would wash it, dry it, and it would look freshly waxed. The rain would bead up nicely time after time with NO waxing.
I will be picking up my 2008 C300 after work today, and will enjoy a showroom shine for years to come. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't done it to 2 of my vehicles previously. Seeing is believing, and I was truly skeptical. The day I took my Lexus in, they had a current model year Corvette getting done. That vette looked dripping wet.
here's my FX35 after 2 years with NO waxing http://www.hazemonster.com/whip
