Supercharging Question
Hello everyone I have a semi serious question.
Can a supercharger from a C230 or a c32 amg be installed in a w204 C350 with a little custom Fabrication? Maybe a custom plenum. gaskets and belts? If it is possible then It might be worth the price. Tuners please don't be shy. These Dubs are so heavy I can't move people. LOL

Call supercharger people, NOT benz tuners. I would go for Supra or Mustang Cobra SC specialists. It can easily be done. The questions will be how will the drivetrain hold up? Nobody that I know of did anything like that on a 350, yet and I haven't seen many performance mods for them, either. You wiling to use your car as the fitter?

Talk to Vadim @ VRP. He can figure something out for you guys. You need to get the specs on your transmission first. Each 7G transmission is different. I.E, E55 5 Speed versus E500 5 Speed. E55's transmission can tolerate 1000Nm of continuous torque, whereas the E500's cant.

I looked at Ken Bell superchargers and they have their .87 blowers for 1399. I'm assuming if I let my car be the Guinea pig it wont cost more than another 2g's to for a tuning shop to create an intake plenum and intercooler piping. Intercooler might run another 500. talking about 4 g's out the door. That seems reasonable. The tuner will then have a tuned and marketable kompressor kit that they could sell to all the w204 v6 owners. If I really wan't to be cheap I can buy a smaller refurbished compressor from a C32 or a C230 and save about 1500 dollars but I doub't a shop would be interested since the mass marketability of that kit would not be as easy although a considerable amount of R&D could be shared for both options.
VADIM WHERE ARE YOU???? LOL Probably busy boosting amg engines!!! NO FAIR they get all the attention WAHH!

Vadim is a very busy man. He is working on a 5.7 liter engine for a member here who has an SL55. It will have in excess of 750hp . Just be patient with him as he is the only person I would ever trust besides Cory at Kleemann to tune these cars. Screw Renntech and their ridiculous prices, their work is also substandard IMO.

Doesn't look like Mossellman has actually produced this turbo kit yet. They just have the cars listed.

Anyway enough global economic polictical bs...
I sent an inquiry to Sonic MS.
I also am taking Jangy's advice and I'm going to speak directly with Kenne Bell to see if they have time for me.
Thanks for all the suport guys. Victory will ensue. A 4-5k FI kit for the c class is very possible.

I'd be interested in a kit for the C300. Later down the line, of course, after warranty is over and done. By that time, I should be sufficiently bored with this car... and all the kinks in the system woulda been worked out.

I am in Orange County California until the end of july. Then I am leaving to Mississippi. Jangy, I'm down!!
I am talking with Erick in houston who is doing the TT C32.
He says a TT system would be 7 g's and give me about 350 WHP. That's about 140 more whp than factory tuned! Those are like e90 M3, audi RS4 numbers. But I am looking for more of a gain on low end and nothing to change the overall character of the car. Turbo's are very good at changing the entire character of a car's acceleration becuase of the nature of their acceration delivery. Kind of like Dr.Jeckyl and Mr.Hyde.
Sounds good, but I still wan't something cheaper and with about 290-300 WHP.
So I asked him about installing a small Kenne Bell. See what he says.
I don't wan't too much power.
But things are looking up. At least we are making progress!
But the TT setup is AWESOME!! Definetly Ridiculously insane!
The thing is, For a supercharger to generate 300 whp, it will have to run the same boost as a turbo system that make 350 since the supercharger draws power from the engine just to run. About 50 BHP. So the turbo set up wil probably be a safer solution even if I wan't less power, I'll just urn down the boost. It's just expensive and envolves a lot of tearing stuff apart.
It's good to have finally have options now LOL!

I'm gonna be honest with you. You are expecting too much in too little time. Set realistic goals and attain them. I am in SD. I will work with you IF you commit and stay focussed. I know we can easily get 50hp out of it and more likely 100hp in that time. It would be things that have been done on other cars and are not at all invasive. It still leaves the door open for aspiration, but I'd go SC on a V6.

How about we meet up next weekend? I'll come down to San Diego. PM me an address of a good place to meet up.
Honestly if I could have my wish. I go with an sc and have a plenum and intercooler fabricated and an ECU tune. Stock exhaust. Would be willing to have my car be the fitter.

i am so very interested in a turbo or SC set up but guys, we are not going to come anywhere near M3, or RS4 numbers and you are CRAZY if you think otherwise. you want these cars faster but they weigh a ton and your already putting on 20's that prob weigh over 35 lb's each, w/o the rubber. hmmmmmm. if we can get up around 300hp/350hp NA or forced i'd be happy but we're still gonna be left in the dust by a lightly modded/stock 335i. m3's, rs4's...not even the same league.
