Service A
I'm in Dallas, TX and how much does Service A cost? and what is being done? I'm approching 13K mark and wanted to find out if its worth the money. thanks

Hey C300Man, when did you get yours? I got mine on Halloween last year (from Ewing in Plano) and I just started getting the service A message. I haven't called around to find out the pricing though.

service A isn't covered by the warranty. But there was an option to lock in Service A and B prices to protect against future inflation. You could roll that cost into your loan payment.

Don't know for sure (still at ~5500 miles here), but I hear through the grapevine that Service A is essentially an oil change and some minor checkups. There was a thread before detailing what exactly is done. I remember thinking, "That's all they do for that much money???" 
Still gotta/gonna do it though. Getting ripped off comes as part of the territory, it seems.

I just had our Service A performed on our '08 C300 Lux at MB - Portland, OR.
$170 without tire rotation, since I do all the tire rotations myself.
I never thought of these guys as particularly inexpensive, but based on some of the other numbers that are showing up here, I'm beginning to think I got a deal. [Plus the free coffee, cookies, and chocolate bars with the star logo.....burp.]

How much?
When my C300 reaches that mileage I will have changed the oil twice already and since I can walk around and count my own wheels, the dealer is not going to see it except for warranty work, if any. All that money I save can then be spent foolishly. Oh wait, I've already done that.

My local Stealership just quoted me $350. I asked them if they were going to kiss me first and to please be gentle. Pricey oil change.
They even gave it to me in writing
What they do:
1. Oil and filter change
2. Replace dust filter
3. Inspect tires,inspect brakes, inspect fluids
I feel violated
They even gave it to me in writing

They quoted me $120 for an oil change (acceptable considering its MB, 8 quarts Mobil 1 Synthetic, and only every 13k miles)
I just can't justify the other $230 for "inspections" but my wife said "just shut up and do it...you knew that when you bought that car!"
