Anyone retro/ fit OEM led tails to a non LED W204 yet?
The one thing that bugs me the most on my car is the taillights. It's funny because I didn't even know there was a difference when I bought the car until I got home and went on this forum the next day Lol! I've had the car almost a year this August and surely bet someone has installed them on a P1 car?
Thanks in advance

If they are like the E class lights, they should just be plug and play. You may some some reworking to do with these air ducts or whatever they are in the C class rearlights

I have taken my LED tail lights out and I don't think it would be a problem fitting them into the non-P2 cars. Maybe some minor rewiring and adding a resistor to change the electrical output for the LEDs.

What's this LED taillight? Is it included in the P2 package? In Canada, the base models include most of the items in P1 and P2. My taillights only have LEDs in the signal lights.

You wont have to add any resistors as the OEM taillights will have them built into the circuit board that houses the LED's. This is coming from E class information guys. But the best thing to do is just order a set and see if it fits.
One would think that they would just make this standard item on the C class given that LED's are pretty damn cheap these days.

The tech thinks it is just plug and play, just like the E class. He didn't have time to take apart some cars on the lot, but said from what the tech specs show, its a very easy upgrade. Good luck guys. Just buy a set and see if it works.

Anyone mind posting some pictures of the LED tails? Maybe with and without the lights on?
Believe it or not, I've never seen one.

I think if I were to go JTT tails, I'd first have to confirm that LED tails are a plug-n-play replacement. I don't think I can go a week w/o my car. I'd have to resort to my bike for transportation, and I bought a car so that I don't have to ride it any more. Too many close calls with idiot drivers that can't see me and try to run me over. Maybe it's my all-black gear.

Hve you tried it? On the W211 it is plug and play. We are basing our assumptions on that. Yes, the shopforeman is very well known at MBLN and quite honestly knows more about cars than both you and I probably. He only works on Maybach's, SLR's, and high-end AMG's.

Hi Guys
This is a mod that also interested me, so I called my local dealer that supplied my vehicle and he had an led light in stock (one side only), he let me fit the lamp to try it out and I can confirm that they are 'plug and play' no additional kit required, all the resisters are fitted inside the lamp on a circuit board, basically I unplugged the wiring plug from my stock tail then plugged it into the led tail and checked all the bulbs for each function worked ok with no bulb failure warnings.
I ordered the light for the other side, due in on Monday, when I fit them Ill post some pics, they were a bit pricey though, £228 might be cheaper in the US
