It's not made yet, as racetested said in his post. So you're not gonna see it on the website yet.

A question though: how would the crank pulley change the performance of the car? I'm thinking better acceleration, with less mass to move... but how much? Will it be a noticeable difference even for us "normal" drivers in normal driving situations? By normal, I mean on surface streets, not on the track.

Also, would there be any negatives to doing this mod? Any extra stress on other engine components? And I have a feeling this might void a few warranties here and there as well.

Thanks for the help.

Aside from having nothing to do with the W204, I would categorize this with K&N filters.

It depends on the size of the pulley meaning if it is the same size, it will give little negative effects on the car compared to its possible positive effects. Better acceleration can be a benefit that you will probably see, but possible driving characteristic effect may make or break the deal depending how it drives. It doesn't work too well with some cars and is a very hot topic debate in some forums. With my MY02 GDA, I never did the mod because I've driven one with the similar mods(stage4) and a lightwell pulley and never liked it. On a NA car, it would be interesting though.

Definitely not going to be one of the first people to "test" it out.

haha, thank you I appreciate it. We have others but I keep them out of the photos. We just got a new Honda CRV and we also have a bimmer 330xi thats got over 100k on the clock (mom won't let it go, 1st german car) You guys should have a look at my pics on the e-class W211 forum to see my progress with that car. It's got 20"s and clear markers i just ordered a brabus quad I'm doing a complete authentic brabus overhaul on that one. Its actually my girlfriends. The CL is mine and my dad and I both drive the C. I drive my girlfriends alot so I'm doing work on it for her. Should look great when I'm finished. Here's the link:https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...52515:naughty:

As mentioned this is one of those topics that seems to go around an around.

All I can share for performance is this post which "doesn't " mean anything for our motors but it's something.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/248211-dyno-ams-pulley-results.html

Plus one of my friends is a pretty good engineer and I have worked with him on numerous projects and have been very happy and he gives the thumbs up and as used a crank pulley on many of his cars. Lighter mass freeing up a little more power is just basic physics.

As far as cost vs. gains that's all a matter of "opinion" and should be left out of any debate. Some people seeing 10 extra hp are very thrilled and on the other hand you could give my wife's car an extra 50hp and she wouldn't know the difference as all she wants to do is get from point A to B and doesn't pay much attention to the car in doing so.
