Lighweight Crank Pulley Being Made
A question though: how would the crank pulley change the performance of the car? I'm thinking better acceleration, with less mass to move... but how much? Will it be a noticeable difference even for us "normal" drivers in normal driving situations? By normal, I mean on surface streets, not on the track.
Also, would there be any negatives to doing this mod? Any extra stress on other engine components? And I have a feeling this might void a few warranties here and there as well.

Thanks for the help.

Definitely not going to be one of the first people to "test" it out.

All I can share for performance is this post which "doesn't " mean anything for our motors but it's something.

Plus one of my friends is a pretty good engineer and I have worked with him on numerous projects and have been very happy and he gives the thumbs up and as used a crank pulley on many of his cars. Lighter mass freeing up a little more power is just basic physics.
As far as cost vs. gains that's all a matter of "opinion" and should be left out of any debate. Some people seeing 10 extra hp are very thrilled and on the other hand you could give my wife's car an extra 50hp and she wouldn't know the difference as all she wants to do is get from point A to B and doesn't pay much attention to the car in doing so.
