Verizon XV6900 and Bluetooh in my C
Hey Guys,
I just got a new smartphone and it dosen't appear to be a known compatible platform with the Mercedes Benz. I really wanted the new phone, but now I cannot get it to pair with the car.
I had a stereo Bluetooth headset once with this problem and I was able to get a third party software to get it to connect. Anyone know of a solution like this? I'm trying in the phone forums but no luck so far.
Regards,
Rick

Your in luck i'm a Verizon Tech esp in Bluetooth(I install HFK and Bluetooth in customer cars). Okay with the XV6900 the small white PDA is a very nice phone. bc its a PDA it will not be compatiable so we can try though okay i need you to turn the Infa Red on and the go to bluetooth put the phone on Discovery Mode then when you do that go to your Merc settings and then look for the phone.

Under beam is has a toggle to recieve all incoming beams, I can get the car to find the phone, but not the other way around. This sounds promising. Standby....

yess the beam first of all you want the Merc to find your phone then when you found it click add on your merc screen and input a random passwork like "1111" and then you input it on your phone "1111" its done Connected!

Hey,
No good on this so far I get errors on the car and the phone but after a couple of tries I see that the car finds the phone and I have it try to autorize and I have no success. Is there something else I can try? I have the beam "Recieve all incoming Beams" selected I seem to have no luck...

Now you can tell that the phone 6900 is not compatible with the car im sure Merc will hopefully release an update with there Bluetooth Version in the cars so they can pair up with the new phones out there. Hey if you are around Staten Island area is which i work let me know.

Well, I sent Mercedes an E-mail and they responded that it was not compatible either! So I had to "Beam" some other files to the phone yeasterday and I was getting the same errors I got in the car. I was starting to get PO'd and just started clicking stuff and I got it to work!! So I spent 10 min in the car yeasterday doing the same thing. I hate just clicking stuff like that but I was getting fustrated, when all of a sudden "accepted" LOL. The say insanity is doing the same thing twice and expecting a different result the second time, But I guess with modern electronics, it's different! LOL. Luving life with my bluetooth back
