Will my car look silly?
I have a W204 C220CDI classic in tenorite gray. It does not have the avantgarde grill or the chrome strips on the exterior like the elegance and avantgarde models., however it still looks fine because of the dark colour. My only "exterior" appointments are xenon headlights and a sunroof.
My dealer is advertising that they can replace the standard classic grill with an avantgarde grill. The avantgarde grill does look much sportier, but will it look out of place on a standard classic car without the accompanying chrome strips on the bumpers and on the fog lights?

on my personal opinion if u want to put the avantgarde grill, take out all chrome strips. get the AMG/brabus full body kit, 19" wheels n lower the car. the car looks too plain without bodykit.

What do you like? if you want the Big Star Avantegard grille- have them install it. It's a matter of personal preference. Posters here are replacing the grille with the "C63 style" or painting the fins on their Avantegard grilles black. Put you own personal touch on your car and make it stand out. Have fun and Enjoy the new beautiful car.

It will not look silly. It will look fine.
But if you change the grille you should also change the hood badge. I think the star ornament would look out of place with the Avant Guard grille.
