So i think i want to add HID's, I want to get as close to plug and play as i can, no resistors or at least a easy install that will look clean when i open the hood, so not exessive wires. I'm think 6000k i just want no flicker on start up. I did a lot of searching but there are a million do this do that threads, tell me what you have and what you had to do, and where i can buy the ones you have. Thanks
has anyone done 55w HID's instead of 35W

55watt provides about 40% more light output, give us a call if you would like to order an error free kit.
$120 for the 35watt kit, and $145 for the 55watt kit.

James,
I have a non-p2 (no bi-xenon) c300, if I wanted to upgrade my headlights I could use this kit?
What's the difference between stock and a 35w, 4300k kit? Or a 55w, 4300k kit?
How difficult is it to install?
I am located in Orange County - do you do installation down in SD?

Yes we do installations here, the difference between a stock non-xenon and a 35watt system is an absolute night and day different, lets just say that when there are not street nights, you'll actually be able to see at night.Originally Posted by mb_horseshoe

As for the difference between the 35watt and 55watt system, its just that much better of a light output. It is not as large of a difference from the non-xenon to 35watt system, however it is a fairly visible output difference between the 35watt and 55watt.

5000k being white, and 600k with a slight tint of blue.
4300K i feel is alittle too yellow for my taste.

I got mine from Stealthauto last December and no trouble at all, easy to install, I will say it took me about 20 minutes both sides.

I have been thinking of doing this upgrade. By doing this does it affect the automatic lights. What does installation consist of? Do you just setup the wiring and the put the new HID bulb into the existing housing?!

Good question. Real HID's for $145 seems like an awesome deal. Does that price include bulbs?Originally Posted by SAserg

Yes, the kit will come with a pair of bulbs, a pair of ballasts either 35w or 55w, and error cancelers.Originally Posted by hutch300

The installation is very straight forward. The only modification that is required is to drill a hole on the back of the cover.
Here is a brief description of what is required to do the install. I'll post picture of the kit later today, and I'll do my best to post a diy on the install, sometime this week.
You must start by removing the round plastic cover on the back of the headlight.
This is the cover that you must drill a hole into, this hole is required since the ballast does not fit within the headlight assembly, so the ballast will be mounted outside of the headlight. We light to mount the ballast on the back of the headlamp.
Once the hole is drilled, you will slide the wiring through the hole you just made, you will then remove the factory H7 bulb, plug in the H7 Xenon bulb, and use the wiring adaptor that is provided and plug it into the factor H7 plug. Install the cover, and then on the outside you will plug in the ballast and the error canceler.
that is all she wrote my friends.

and hows the light output, beamm, and visibility? did you insert the H7 bulb with the blue rod facing down to the ground?

6000K will look more blue but less light output than 4300K. I've had both and I'd go with 4300K. It will look oem especially with the projectors from w204's.Originally Posted by hutch300

Can someone post pictures where they place the ballasts? I am really interested in putting them on my car.
