I have a set of Super Sports with about 5k miles on them and a brand new set of 5mm pads that I will probably end up selling. I just can't bring myself to install them. I am not worried about rubbing in the wheel wells, I am worried about scraping the front lip pulling into the driveway at work.

I have a c300 4matic Sport. How much of a drop will I actually see? I think the car will look better with them on but I don't want to scrap the front up. I am going to be running a set of 19" Stance rims during the summer.

Because of your 19's, your car will actually sit higher even with the springs. I've compared my car (18's with ss) next to the exact oem model side by side and the oem actually sat closer to the ground. Rubbing will depend on your tire size choice.

Really?

My rims are 45mm offset in the front and 48mm in the back

Tires 235/35/19 Front
265/30/19 Rear

I have read through a bunch of threads here and I believe this setup will not rub.

I'm new to all this, i was thinking about get H&R sport springs for a 09 c300 sport, i still have the stock 17" wheel's, will it make a huge difference?

Or should i just get the H&R coils when i get 19" rims next month ?

Just wait and do it right. Adjustable coils are your best bet for overall value, longevity and function.

Hey guys

Just wanting to confirm that I wont be running into any issues.

'10 C300 Sport 4MATIC

WHEELS: FRONT 19X8.5 47MM
REAR 19X9.5 50MM

TIRES FRONT 235/35/19
REAR 265/30/19

SPRINGS H&R SUPERSPORT

Even though its 4matic, sound like everyone is saying they still work.

Any rubbing issues I should be aware of?

Hi guys,

I just had the H&R SS installed on my C320. It lowered exactly 40mm all round. Im running stock 17" rims. No plans to upsize, I like the comfort level of these stockies.

Overall I'm really happy with the drop, but don't wan't it to go any lower. Will it drop further once the springs settle, or is that just a myth?

Thank you

No I didn't install any pads. I've always wondered what' the pads are for?

Are they used to lower the car further? Or to raise the car?

thinner pads than stock = lower

thicker pads than stock = higher

the 5mm are thinner so i think it lowers the rear more since the rear is higher by default in our cars than the front?

anyone care to confirm?

Some replace the 13mm rear stock pads with 5mm ones to make the rear sit lower. 13mm - 5mm = 8mm lower.

You can upgrade your wheels to 18s and still have a comfortable ride.

Car definitely looks a lot better after the drop

Yes, stock pads are 12mm so putting in the 5mm pads lowers rear another 7mm. They say it's not as soft as a ride, but I never noticed any difference.

This and that.
Hey guys so I have been contemplating getting some lowering springs and from what I read it seems like H&R Super Sports seem to be the best ones?

I don't want it to drop TOO much cause it will be driven in winter and I don't want it getting scraped everywhere. I won't be upgrading my rims anytime soon, I have the stock 18" AMG rims on it and I really like them.

So if I were to get these springs and drop it, do I need to do anything else? Like bushings, struts and all that? I am not too well versed with the terminology and all that but I read someone saying if you go lowering springs you should get struts too or you will mess up the car. Is that true? I would much rather just do the springs and have the lowered look with 18" wheels if possible. Anyone selling H&R Super sports?

Thanks

That's just with Sports and not Super Sports? Eveyone keeps saying Sports don't lower the car enough/you can't tell a difference, but your car looks good/perfect to me. Then again, I also don't want the tucked/slammed look.

It would be good if people would post their before/after height measurements (ground to top of wheel well). Yes, I know variances in wheel/tire/inflation numbers are in play, but would definitely be helpful in deciding which suspension setup to go with.

19 Work Gnosis with H&R Sport

Hi guys, just got my H&R sport and 19 Gnosis installed, the ride quality after lowered is surprisingly as comfort as factory. Here is the pic for your reference, the front is sitting at 1.5 finger and 1.75 in the rear but I believe it will bit just a lil bit lower after the spring settles in.

well, road condition in asia isn't as good as in north america, there are always huge pot holes on the road that's why i got the sport instead the super sport.

A funny Question! Is my wife will complain about H&R SS? Do you feel much difference between Stock and SS?
Cause I just bought the SS springs and 19 rims.
