2012 C300 Sport 4matic
I read through this whole thread a few weeks ago but I am going to make the decision to buy coil overs by tonight. I have a 2012 C300 4MATIC Sport and have a few questions!

1) Will the H&R Super Sports fit my 4matic? I read before that they will but I just wanted to confirm this.

2)Are there different kind of springs in the pre 2011 vs 2012 years? or are they pretty much generic?

3)If I plan on getting H&R Sports how much of a drop will I plan on getting with my factory sport suspension? I know the factory sport suspension is a bit lower than the luxury model.

Thank you in advance!!

1)yes
2)they should be the same
3)Sports won't be enough of a drop to even bother. SS will give you about 1.2". That's what I got anyway with a 14 Sport 4matic. Stock spring pads in the rear but likely could have gone a little shorter since I rarely have passengers. I just didn't want any rubbing with this car since it's more or less the wife's grocery getter.

Hey guys so I have a C350 4Matic (sport suspension) Currently with 19" wheels 45et all around with 235/35 front and 265/30 rears on Michelin Super Sport tires.
Currently to me my front is perfect just want the rear to sit. Can I just put in a set of rear lowing springs and leave the fronts?

Now If I get H&R SS springs on stock pads to lower the car will that bring down the rear just to get rid of the gap to match the front?
I read this thread but wanted to confirm this setup will work? Or do I need to get smaller pads or change my setup?

Honestly I think it's the tires... the front appears to have more meat on it which is making the fender gap look smaller, however if it's stock it should be sitting pretty even.

Sits the same with stock wheels as well the rear is higher. Can I put a set of OEM C63 springs in the rear to bring it down? Im assuming they are interchangeable or am I wrong?

I don't think putting C63 springs on the rear will change anything since you have the sport model.

I've looked up and down this thread, but I cant find this answer to: Longivity? how does H&R SS affect the car one to three years down the line. I want to get some SS but friends keep saying that the springs are going to mess up the car in about year? I just want to get some feedback from people that have actually had them on for over a year or so.

Hey, I was going through what you guys are writing about the differences with these springs. I have a 2009 C300 sport and 18's on. I was thinking of fitting the wheels in a bit better. I was concerned on the drop. I didn't want to go that aggressive, just something better than stock. IS H&R the way I should go?

I got no complaints. I'd be happy if it was even a little lower just a bit.

You get 1-3 years of better driving while wondering why you didn't install them sooner. That's what happened to me anyway. My H&R ss give a less harsh ride than my stock springs did. I think because they are a progressive rate spring vs the stock linear rate springs on the sport. I believe the average drop spring manufacturers list is based on the lux model ride height rather than the sport height and most pics of these cars you see look more slammed than they look in person. You usually can't see the finger width gap in photos. MB uses the same shocks for many cars with various ride heights and I haven't had any issues with mine and I doubt anyone else has either. Get alignment done after you install the springs and you will be fine.

I'm still up in the air with what I want to do as far Suspension upgrade. I want to reduce that wheel gap but wasn't sure with which springs to use. how much of a difference is it from Sport Springs to Super Sports? for me I didn't want to drop the car that much but just enough. If anyone has more info on this let me know thanks!

That's mine sitting on Eibach's Pro kit with 5mm pads in the rear. 235/35 up front and 265/30 back. No issues

H&R SS would be perfect but I want my stock shocks to last as long as possible! Haha

Yeah that looks pretty good. what size are your wheels?
And your right about the shocks. I'm a licensed Tech and I been down that road before when lowering a vehicle and swapping the springs. Its only a matter of time when the shocks blow. Something to think about anyways.. and thanks!

W204 C320 CDI
I am new to this forum so hopefully I am in the right place with my questions.

I have H&R SS 40mm lowered suspension on my c320cdi but now I am looking to lift back by 5mm as it looks like it sits lower than the front.

How possibly could I do that? Any advice?

Hey Everyone... New to the Forum.

I currently have H&R SuperSports on my '08 C300 Sport (6-Spd / RWD). I've had them on for 2 years now, and don't have anything negative to say about them. The ride wasn't really compromised, and the resulting stance looks awesome!
I also run 18" CLS63 Replicas during the Summer with Hancook Ventus V12 evos K120 P245/35 & P265/30's.

Today I just bought the Eibach Pro-Plus Kit (2578.880) and looking forward to installing the 2 sway bars... but NOT the springs; leaving the H&R's in. Anyone want the Eibach's?

I happened to get super lucky and found someone local who was selling theirs pretty much brand new. Depending on where you are located, some wheel and tyre places stock eibach, or even contact them directly and ask for local dealers in your area! I preferred them over H&R for my car.

Thanks for the reply, took the advice and it worked! Found a vendor that stocked Eibach and they were able to grab a pair from the UK. Guess their super hard to find cause Eibach quit selling em in the states for the w204, no one could say why.
I've ran Eibach on all my cars and love em! From what you say, your expierience has been of the same.

2012 C300 Sport 4matic
Just ordered the H&R Super Sports for my 2012 C300 4matic. I ordered the kit for the C350 non 4matic model because they are exactly the same correct? Also do anyone have the parts # for the rear 5mm pads? Im going to the dealer today to order them and want to make sure I get the right part.

Thanks

I would double check that if I were you as the 4 Matic is heavier than the RWD, so you gotta make sure the springs are able to handle the weight difference and able to perform as designed.

I contemplated getting the 5mm vs stock and I'm happy I kept my stock pads as I would be scraping all day long in mine. I do run an aggressive offset on 265's. But worth considering if you often have a loaded car.
