OFFICIAL W204 Lowering Spring Thread - Post Pics of Eibach Pro Kit, H&R Sport and SS
1) Will the H&R Super Sports fit my 4matic? I read before that they will but I just wanted to confirm this.
2)Are there different kind of springs in the pre 2011 vs 2012 years? or are they pretty much generic?
3)If I plan on getting H&R Sports how much of a drop will I plan on getting with my factory sport suspension? I know the factory sport suspension is a bit lower than the luxury model.
Thank you in advance!!
2)they should be the same
3)Sports won't be enough of a drop to even bother. SS will give you about 1.2". That's what I got anyway with a 14 Sport 4matic. Stock spring pads in the rear but likely could have gone a little shorter since I rarely have passengers. I just didn't want any rubbing with this car since it's more or less the wife's grocery getter.
Currently to me my front is perfect just want the rear to sit. Can I just put in a set of rear lowing springs and leave the fronts?
Now If I get H&R SS springs on stock pads to lower the car will that bring down the rear just to get rid of the gap to match the front?
I read this thread but wanted to confirm this setup will work? Or do I need to get smaller pads or change my setup?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
You get 1-3 years of better driving while wondering why you didn't install them sooner. That's what happened to me anyway. My H&R ss give a less harsh ride than my stock springs did. I think because they are a progressive rate spring vs the stock linear rate springs on the sport. I believe the average drop spring manufacturers list is based on the lux model ride height rather than the sport height and most pics of these cars you see look more slammed than they look in person. You usually can't see the finger width gap in photos. MB uses the same shocks for many cars with various ride heights and I haven't had any issues with mine and I doubt anyone else has either. Get alignment done after you install the springs and you will be fine.
That's mine sitting on Eibach's Pro kit with 5mm pads in the rear. 235/35 up front and 265/30 back. No issues
H&R SS would be perfect but I want my stock shocks to last as long as possible! Haha
And your right about the shocks. I'm a licensed Tech and I been down that road before when lowering a vehicle and swapping the springs. Its only a matter of time when the shocks blow. Something to think about anyways.. and thanks!
I have H&R SS 40mm lowered suspension on my c320cdi but now I am looking to lift back by 5mm as it looks like it sits lower than the front.
How possibly could I do that? Any advice?
I currently have H&R SuperSports on my '08 C300 Sport (6-Spd / RWD). I've had them on for 2 years now, and don't have anything negative to say about them. The ride wasn't really compromised, and the resulting stance looks awesome!
I also run 18" CLS63 Replicas during the Summer with Hancook Ventus V12 evos K120 P245/35 & P265/30's.
Today I just bought the Eibach Pro-Plus Kit (2578.880) and looking forward to installing the 2 sway bars... but NOT the springs; leaving the H&R's in. Anyone want the Eibach's?

I've ran Eibach on all my cars and love em! From what you say, your expierience has been of the same.
Thanks
Thanks
I contemplated getting the 5mm vs stock and I'm happy I kept my stock pads as I would be scraping all day long in mine. I do run an aggressive offset on 265's. But worth considering if you often have a loaded car.
& hope fully will take some photos.
I have the H&R SS, CVT Vossens wheels 19" front 235/35 rear 285/30
& it looks erfect except that the rear right side is rubbing sometimes I can barely put my finger in while in the left side I have about a finger and half.
Does fender rolls kits work on our cars ??
I will be posting some photos as I'm removing the plasti dip and having car dip on the chrome around the car
