Installed H&R Supersport+5mm pads on my 2010 c350 4MATIC yes supersport on a 4MATIC...did alot of research on MBworld, didnt find annything so ended up by questioning a tech on justanswer dot com to learn that the coils on a 4Matic and a rwd where exactly the same dimension!

So here you go!First picture is 10 min after the instal...second is a week later when I put my C/F lip on. Sorry for the Iphone pics

so even if you have 4matic you can just get normal rwd springs and it will work with no problems?

Hey Anthony I have the c300 4-matic and does the c350 4-matic have the same suspension and all wheel drive components like the c300 4-matic? Cause I want to get the H&R supersport springs for my car but tirerack said that they won't fit and I haven't seen any1 else do it. What do you think?

Seeing as the only difference between the two would be the engine, I'm guessing it would work fine for you seeing how it worked fine for him. But that's just what I think. I'm amazed that the springs work on 4matics. Couple of people on this forum are gonna be happy campers

This thread is excellent for showing actual drops and providing some personal reviews. I going to show spring pics, and talk about each spring design.

Oem's are linear springs, but at high compression, non-linear rubber bump springs are engaged, making the combo progressive. Linear springs are usually prefered for maximum performance, like driver-ed track use.

Rubber Bump Stops

OFFICIAL W204 Lowering Spring Thread - Post Pics of Eibach Pro Kit, H&R Sport and SS-mbbumpstops.jpg

Usually still needed when upgrading springs.

H&R Sport Springs

Like OEM's, The H&R Sport Springs appear linear, but rears may be true progressive.

Eibach ProKit Install

The Eibach Pro Kit can be seen in this install thread. From the pics, springs are linear, with a few dead coils at the top of the rears to take up space.

H&R Super Sports

The H&R Super Sports are Dual Rate springs, designed for large drops and street use. They are some times calles progressive, but really just have 2 rates. Example: Front springs in box center .. all coils are active when cruising, but 2 or 3coils in middle of spring will contact each other and "bind" when heavily loaded, like outers when cornering or fronts on a hard stop. This reduces the number of active springs by 2 or 3, and spring rate will stiffen up 40-50% .

H&R Coilover Kit

H&R also makes more expensive kits with front coilovers and adjustable ride height (not sure if damping is adjustable).

These front springs are dual rate, and that may be part of why AZN_300 found them more comfortable than H&R Sports.

Thanks to all that took the time to take pics. Vendors often just show generic pics.

I would only use H&R or Eibach....SuperSports I know for sure are red, but in a lot of pictures they will just show general springs which a all different colors.

Supersports are good. I only have 300 miles on the car though so I haven't pushed it at all but the ride is pretty comfortable.

He is basing it off of the H&R website but you will be fine. It has already been confirmed that they work with 4matics. If this is any consolation, i wsa running 350z aftermarket springs on my Infiniti G35 coupe for years with no problems because it gave me a lower drop. I even had lots of friends running 350z aftermarket springs on their G35 SEDANS no problem for years.

But yeah as an eBay seller he can't say they will work when the H&R website doesn't have the application for it.

OK, all of you are voiding your warranty by installing lowering springs and don't care?

My service manager tells me that this voids warranty, is that true?!

I want springs so bad but can't do that right now. Thats the reason we got a new car.

Lowering springs does not void your warranty. You would take a slight risk because they would probably deny any claims if there is a suspension related warranty issue. Doesn't happen too often though.

I justs recently installed 19's with 265/30 tires. Will super sport set up work with that? I read on another tread that I would need 255/30 in order for it not to rub?
