The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I will be wearing 19s rims this summer

Just thinking of springs, bearing in mind I am already -15mm with AMG Pack, Code950.
Thinking of H&Rs Sport or SuperSport or Carlsson kit...
After reading all these posts, im either buying the KW/H&R/Eibach coilovers or H&R super sport. I have the 18" stock 2012 sport stock wheels..
if i drop the car to be 100mm off the ground, do i need to worry with spacers / offsets / pads, etc etc with the sport stock wheels?? would it rub or look rediculous without these things?? i believe spacers are illegal in Aust and not sure about the offset or pads...
if anyone can please help
the standard c250 2012 model is raised ~18cm. The maximim legal lowering of the car is 10cm in Aust.
I wanted to lower it to the limit, but the distributor said the KW's coilovers reduce by around 5cm at most. that cant be right can it?
ive seen so many cars that are really low - how do they do it? ulovemybenzo is way lower...

ulovemybenoz cut 2 coils off his springs, that's why he is so low. In the other thread, you asked azn_optics how he got that low. His H&R coilovers were low down to the very bottom but he is also running 19"s which has an effect on his wheel to fender gap.
would the c250 underpeform with 19" because they of the small engine?

and i like the look of eyemd's Benz with the Eibach Pro-Plus Kit, But Azn_C300 said in a post that he regret getting just the springs and if you want to lower it buy the coil overs he suggested H&R street Performance Coil over.
so now I don't know which ones would be abetter or which ones i should get the Eibach is almost half price from the coil overs, is it worth paying double for the H&R set?
I still have stock rims atm, i want to get 19's or 20's beginning of summer will the lowering limit my rim options?
first of all, in my country we have 3 trims of W204.
classic (std one), avantgarde and amg kit (sport).
my car is C200 CGI avantgarde, running on 19" work wheels.
my Findings so far:
1) the figures of the drop from the tyre shop are different from the figures from this forum which are apparently equivalent with those on the official overseas websites.
2) I was told that avantgarde is already lower than the classic trim, so if i pick the eibach springs, i would not be able to differentiate it?
3) I do prefer the drop of the H&R super sport, but i park my car in a basement so i really can't go too low (max is 3 tiny asian fingers LOL). FYI a standard 350z will rub at the ramp.
4) The tyre shop here only have 1 type of H&R springs. which is grey. part no is H&R 29076. can anyone confirm the drop figures? and is it from the classic trim or the avantgarde trim?
#i was told that the drop counted from the standard base model. but in some countries they dont have the super basic classic trim. so which one is the benchmark; avantgarde or classic?
Thank you in advance... i've been craving for these for too long..

last question, the only type of H&R available in Indo (the grey one), is it equivalent to the sport or super sport? and how much drop will i get? 30mm is it?
If I read correctly on this forum, once the springs are settled they offer a little more drop; for instance, once the H&R sport settled, it shows about additional 0.2" drop F&R
Correct, the avangarde is lower than the classic or the elecange trim. If you picked the eibach, the height will be similar if not just a weeny bit lower than the avangarde. So yea, when compared side by side, I dont think you'd be able to distinguish between the avangarde and your lowered c class (same drop, if not similar)
I think H&R sports will suit you better than the SS; else, coilover if you want flexibility
If I'm not mistaken, the classic trim has the same drop as in the elegance trim. Classic/avangarde is the benchmark.
I took a quick peek at www.tirerack.com and I found this: http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/b...%26R&tab=chart . Here, you can find all the infos that you might need on the springs. It seems the gray ones are the OE sport springs and I don't think they are equivalent with either the sport or the SS.
Just an advice, our road condition here are not the same as in the US and Jakarta is categorized as one of worst road conditions in the world. I'd get the sport if I were you. Either that or H&R coilover so you have the ability to dial your car's height to your liking

But if you really must go to kebayoran baru to get things done then you can either go to permaisuri (expensive) or to... shoot, the store's name escapes me, but they are located at jalan tendean, near total gas station, next to ayam goreng suharti (well, not exactly right next to but you get the idea, basically on the same side as the total gas station and ayam goreng suharti)...
I haven't bought the car yet and my plan is sometime this year that is as soon as my house construction is completed. I'm still driving my 2007 harrier for the time being.. I'm here do to research prior to purchasing the car
