Steering Wheel: from C350 to C63?
Given that both have paddle-shifts, would it be just a simple plug 'n play from
to
or it requires extensive re-wiring?

Larseu from Norway did it. He said it is a swap if your steering already has a paddle shifter, check here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...alcantara.html
Tategoi, where in Singapore you can order the steering? I need to find the C63 airbag. I got the steering wheel already from eBay but no airbag. The 3-spoke AMG will not fit, need a complete set with C63 airbag.

Yes, I have to get both the steering wheel and airbag. I am gonna do it tomorrow morning if its a direct swap. If extensive rewiring is required I will give it a miss as I don't wish to mess around with Daimler/C&C.
Its available at Benzline/Autospritze in Eunos industrial area. It still have one sets left, I have reserved one, and another to be sent to Jakarta. I am sure it sells airbag separately.

Yes, he informed in PM to me that it is a direct swap (he has an AMG factory fitted with paddle shifter same like mine that's why I'm interested). Thanks for the info. Is George Chong still there in Benzline? Ordered few parts in the past from Benzline, good source.

George is still around, but he is at the Ubi shop. I bought it from the new Eunos shop.
Took the plunge today, its just a 10 mins job. Plug 'n play.

Its OEM C63 steering wheel plus airbag. I did it at an MB workshop here. After the technician replaced them, he had to use a computer to reset the car computer. I was told whenever an airbag is removed, there will surely be airbag error.

I want to ask, is the C63 steering wheel equipped with the paddleshifters fixed to the steering wheel itself (like on AMG package normal 204), or are they fixed to the steering column?
My C280 has the AMG pack with paddle shifters fixed to the steering wheel itself, which I think is quite stupid. If the C63 upgrade can move the shifters to the steering column, I will take the plunge!

the original C63 has the paddles fixed on the steering column, as would befit a sporty car. When you are twirling the steering wheel, it's easier to shift up or down without having to figure out where the paddles are, and exactly which is up and which is down.
our normal C with AMG package models all have the paddles fixed to the steering wheel, which I dislike.

MBWorld Fanatic!
What the F are you talking about?, have you looked at the steering wheel of an F1 car lately?
Paddles ON the wheel!
And the real C63, what do we have here?

I still dont get it,
imagine if youre on the track in a fast tight bend, you are turning the wheel 90 degrees while holding onto the wheel at quarter to three and you need to downshift to get power out of the bend, what do you do?
With paddles on the wheel its easy, with the paddles on the column, you cant reach them without repositioning your hands.

I'd rather have them on the wheel.
