The guys on the W203 forum would likely be able to help you out a little better. Did you post there?

The 2001-2007 Mercedes C Class have the internal "code name" of W203
The 2008-2009 Mercedes C Class are known as W204, etc, etc
You will pick up on all the lingo pretty quickly as you explore the forums.
Not sure why you can't get them to pair. Is either device asking for a pass code? May just have to take it by the shop that did the install for an initial assist or maybe a little trouble shooting.

hard to say from what you have said so far. If it is a bluetooth kit made for phone interfacing, it should work fine. I wouldn't be surprised if older kits take a lot more manual massaging though.

Doesn't the W203 still use the "old" non-BT method with the Nokia 6310? Correct me if I'm wrong but it's an '02 car and family has an '02 CLK with the above mentioned solution.

But you are right that it would not have the UHI/MHI interface. Then again, in the US they have MB OEM BT adapters for older cars, for those where we have the Nokia kit.
