Rightside ****ed?
Rightside ****ed?
I have the c300 4matic i always feel that its slightly going to the right when im driving. Even the right turns are more kinda stiff. Is it like this with every c300 or just mine ?
Your car should naturally drift to the right when you let go of the steering wheel, but gradually. My C300, especially on the freeway, immediately starts drifting to the right when I'm not holding the steering wheel. My dealer says this is "normal", even after a mechanic drove it. I beg to differ.

Most roads are bermed in the center to allow water to run off efficiently. In the States that means your car should generally drift to the right. Find a safe stretch of road, parking lot, etc that is sloped to the left and see if the car still drifts right or even stays straight. If all is aligned properly, it should begin drifting left on pavement sloped to the left.
The question really is -- where does the car go if you hold the steering wheel perfectly straight/level? Does it go straight? If so, your steering center is aligned properly, then you can test if it is pulling in which case you may need alignment work - for this, go to a parking garage or some side streets where you can drive right in the middle of the road to prevent any possibly curvature of the surface to help rainwater drain properly...
If your car continues to pull to the right then you need your alignment fixed - I just had this done in fact because I smacked a BIG pothole - gotta love these NJ roads. My car was continuously pulling ever so slightly to the right -- no matter what road I was on... I always had to hold the steering wheel slightly turned to the left to stay going straight. Now, the vehicle tracks PERFECTLY. I couldn't be more pleased with this car - in fact its driving straighter than when I first got it...

Mine (350) did the same thing, always pulled (slightly) to the right so I had to keep pressure on the wheel to hold it left. I took it in and tech went for a ride and said nothing was wrong, whatever DBag. Took it back again, the SA finally agreed and did the complementary alignment, now it is fine although i did have a mishap when I left the dealer......irony sucks

has same problem, tech said same thing. so I finaly got them to do a free alighment, and it helped a little. I put a little more air in the right front tire and a bit less in the rear tire left tire. I got an 08 honda accord the same month and that thing was strait as an arrow. It makes me wonder what the f mercedes is doing.
