weird snow formation on my hood

weird snow formation on my hood

so i was in a local pizza shop having a slice,
and my car was parked just outside where i had eyeline to it.

snow was coming down, and when i came out i saw this on my hood!
no idea what could have made those shapes and why

If you open your hood and look at it you see why it is.... thre are gaps in the inside of the hood...

Maybe its the way that the heat get dispersed from the engine through that black hood insulation under the hood. I get the same thing on my car.

Yes, and under the black hood insulation there are a sort of gaps, thats what you see on the outside.

Haha -- the first time I noticed these strange melting formations on my hood was right around Christmas -- the first thing I thought of was "hoof prints from Rudolph" all over my hood... guess the reindeer had to do something while santa was dropping off our 46" LCD TV :-)... Leave it to the "Biology" guy to see hoof prints instead of crop circles lol!

Yeah I thought that was weird too. Also, my car is relatively new, and when it fogs up on the windshield, I see a weird formation in the center of the windshield.
