In our navigation, what do icons with 3 houses grouped together represent?

Good question. I was driving out in the middle of the desert in I-15 and one of the exits, which litereally lead to a dirt road, had that icon. There wasn't a structure within 20 miles of that place. The next exit did have a couple of buildings (truck stop).

im wondering too. if you use the POIs that give information per icon on the screen, it skips over the houses...

I actually drove to one of these sites in Tacoma, and found it to be a construction site. Is this Mercedes' way of telling us that the location is under construction?

I don't think so since our nav is not updated with traffic or road hazard.
I see it some time to time, and I always thought just a residential area.
But it's my thought. if anyone know plz share.

NAV Icons

It's hard to tell what any of the icons truly stand for, since the DVD version is not updated. Can the nav sytem work with other CDs other than COMAND?
