I thought I'd post this here for anyone who hasn't seen this thread yet.
They are testing it on the W204 now! Sounds like they have two systems, one for Keyless Go and another that will work on cars with or without Keyless Go.

Was that for the keyless-go version? I was thinking the smart key version was going to cost more. At least the smart key version won't require a key to be installed. It sounds pretty slick.

not exactly sure...found that number on one of the benz forums posted by Rob but cant seem to find it again...price wasnt set but he said it'll be around 999...

they should have one like the one found in the SLR, you have to flick the cover off the gear shifter and then press down the button 
. I suppose this one is more of a wireless fob you press and it starts the car...

Do not be so happy!
If the midcity circuit can bypass so successfully all the security, I think some wise guy will exploit that breach and easily steal any MB car.
All he has to do is to buy one and find out the clue.
I would wait and see Mercedes Benz's position on the matter.

Because it gets cold up here in NOR Cal and because i go to work in the early morning and it will be a cool feature to have
