FINALLY VINYL WRAPPED
Well here are a few pics of the car, right after they completed the job. Very impressed with the work, 2 day turn around. Ran me 900 euro, about $1200. Came with a 3 yr guarantee. Plan on re-painting the door trim and trunk piece probably tommorrow, will be a D.I.Y.
The shop was very experienced!! Actually had two Lambos coming next week, for a White Matte Wrap, gave up some info, Lambo is coming out with a new model with that paint color, so they want to see what it will look like first.
Once weather turns around will post some more, with my wheels on, did them today but its been raining all day.

Wow, I really like that. I just got my quote last week for about the same price. It's very tempting!
How are all the edges and groves in the front bumper? Wrinkles, creases, seams?
They suggested taking off my clear bra before wrapping the car which would suck to have to pay to have a new one put on when I get sick of the wrap.
Looks great though, can't wait to see more pics!!!

What shop did you go to? Ive been thinking about something like this but don't know anything about the process of removing the vinyl when you want it off. Does the adhesive ruin the paint at all?

Not really digging the vinyl without extra body accents, a la the Brabus C-Class. No doubt you had some quality work done though. I've seen some SL's with the vinyl wrap and I tend to think that the more aggressive the body accents, the better the vinyl looks.
Good stuff no less, hope you like it!

Don't Quite Understand.....
Someone please help out a "seasoned" citizen here.....why would one do this? Wheels, tires, body kits, electronics, custom paint....all make total sense and I got an explanation earlier about using a shiny vinyl on the roof to simulate a pano roof and can sort of get that, although not into "faking it".....but this looks like primer waiting to be painted??? Not meaning to offend, and there's got to be more to it than just being "different", but I really don't understand this mod?? Can anyone please explain? Thanks in advance for your courtesy!

Like said before, I think they've done a great job, but i dunno for some reason I just don't like it. Maybe because it doesn't have the Brabus mods on it or something, but it looks just dull. (No offense, just my opinion)

With the Wheels on
weather still Sh%tty but anyway.
(GPI) exhaust... stainless mufflers purchased off ebay, mods to install done by a local shop that also did my x-pipe, sounds nice.
(AZN_C300)door and trunk trim, like i said before, they also getting changed.
(sportstick & carsy) first never seen blk bubble wrap, is it hot??? second, this mod is all in personal opinon and taste, just like purchasing the vehicle, it is far from RICER or POSING, I myself, like the look, remember I currently live in Germany, these vehicles are a dime a dozen, due to the fact they are also rentals and in some locations taxis, therefore I do mods to seperate the vehicle from looking average and personalizing.
(bsully88) the shop is located in Munich Germany. Removal... the is no adhesive left on the vehicle, actually when i was showing up, they were removing vinyl from a 2006 ML430, that had it on for 2 yrs, I rubbed my finger across the body, when he removed a piece, and it felt like it hadnt even had the vinyl on.
The pics where taken at night, to show the wheels are modded with red reflective tape, also purchased from Ebay.
To those that plan on doing it, I highly suggest it, protects the paint and body, affordable color change compared to painting, allows for personalizing, and if u get tired of the color change u can remove urself, its too easy. The only thing I suggest is make sure the shop u go to has more than 20 vehicle experience, and does complete panel wraps (i.e. not in pieces, example a door should be a whole piece in itself or the hood)
Mind u the pics do not do the actual job any justice, its one of those must see in person, anyone actually living in Germany, more than welcome to set up a meet.

These cars [black matte] definitely look better in person, I've seen a few around here that are just amazing. Lambo's, SLR's, even an Escalade, they all look good in person and you literally double take, snapping your neck and saying, "Wow."
How are the door jamb areas, under the hood, etc.? I assume it looks like a bad paint job in these areas- the wrap just ends and you see the original paint?

your kidding right?? your basically asking why should anyone mod a car. This was a old school fad which mainly started with hot rods but nothing new but just something that's in right now......i like the wrap because if you get sick of it you can take it off other then paint because to paint it matte black costs alot of money...
Alex....No, not kidding...and that was not at all what I was asking...please re-read my post....I mentioned a wide variety of mods which we would all understand immediately...as you can see from other writers, matting out an entire car (old school was a hood, a scoop, or a spoiler) seems to receive a much wider variety of pro vs. con responses than usual...a whole-car wrap might be very nicely done with a finish which did not resemble primer....I agree beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but this one was more difficult to appreciate or even understand than most mods for many of us...Can I assume you would raise your eyebrows if someone added a 60s-style vinyl roof and landau bars? I can accept the explanation that some like a full car matte wrap...please accept that others of us remain mystified....
