luxury wheels on a sport

i really like these wheels, and could probably score a set of them brand new from my dealer for a good price, but i was wondering...

i know that the sport has staggered wheels and the luxury does not. does it matter if I put non staggered luxury wheels on my 4matic sport, or do they have these wheels available in staggered sets? thanks.

Can't help. But I think the lux wheels are actually sportier looking than the sport wheels. The sport wheels look like they belong on a Camry.

Shouldn't be a problem. If anything, theoretically your car would be more prone to oversteer vs. staggered setup. But that's IF you're treating the car like it's a track star. Anyway the 4MATIC system will sort everything out.

BTW, all C Class 4MATICS were supposed to have non-staggered setup, but it seems that everyone who bought 4MATICS got their wheels staggered.

And I agree with C300Kid... these sport wheels don't look sporty at all. I have them as my winter setup now. I ended up getting a set of the AMG wheels (see signature) as my main set, which are a bit "sportier" looking.

I thought 4matics were not staggered. Even if not it doesn't matter I have a sport and my wheels are not staggered.

i dont know for sure if my current rims are staggered, but i know the rear and front tires are different measurements, which led me to think that my rims were staggered too.

After having another look at the technical data, all of our W204's (at least in the USA) have staggered fitment on the Sport models, regardless of 4MATIC transmissions or not.

Yes, all Luxs have the same size all around, all Sports are staggered.

Here's my suggestion for a Sport owner who wants to go to a non-staggered setup:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...&wheelModel=DH

I just bought 5 of these for our Lux, with Michelin Primacy MXV4s, and couldn't be happier. The wheels are German-made to OE specs, and superb quality, at a ridiculous price. They are hub-centric, and are designed to use the OE wheel bolts and center caps. Can't recommend these highly enough if you're interested in taking a Sport to a non-staggered setup. You can buy four of these for about the price of one OE wheel from a dealer, or two used OE wheels off the internet.

Go to the TireRack site [use the link I provided]. They have a popup that allows you to show the wheels on your car....even allows you to pick the color of your car.

Look for the "View on vehicle" link which is off to the right-hand part of the page.

We have a set of Luxury Wheels w/ tires 5k miles, no dings ,balanced with tire pressure monitors and blue wreath center caps from 2008 C300 . These were take offs when we purchased the AMG wheels . $1300 Would prefer local pick up Southern Californina.

Which wheels?

On the other hand, I had those wheels pulled off my Lux before delivery because I thought they were so ugly. They are my winter wheels now. Also, the spokes protrude past the tires and I found this out when one of them (standing up) fell over and gouged up two spokes. I'm not going to bother having it repaired.

The 18s are so much more attractive although the 17s ride a bit better because of the higher aspect ratio.

The only thing to watch on the 4matic with staggered set ups is that you match the front & rear tyre rolling circumference reasonably well so you don't overwork the differentials. Fitting staggered is fine with this proviso. People talk a lot of nonsense about staggered set ups on 4matics.
