Where to get luxury leather shift knob? (also my minor mod list)
Here are a few mods I am going to do..
1. trunk lip spoiler - $300 from mymercedes.com
2. clear side marker - $50 from ebay
3. lamin-x film in yellow for the fog lights - $15 from lamin-x website
4. leather shift knob - where to get the knob from on the luxury model w/o break the bank?
5. UMI upgrade - $1,800 to $1,900 as I was quoted from my dealership
What do you guys think about the price and sources for these minor mods??

I haven't checked personally but try Performance Products website. I got my cf keyless go shift knob from them for $250.

Looks like I am not the only one interested in the leather shift knob..
Do you guys think we should start a group buy from dealer or wait for online parts site to stock them??

Aluminum/Leather shift knob a la C63 is going to run you between $200-250. It's the only one I like other than the Brabus that AZN is talking about.

Is that pic you posted the C63 knob? Looks the same or very similar to the knob out of the luxury models I was thinking about. Dealer quoted me $228 for lux version.

You can order them through CEC Claus Ettensberger http://www.cecwheels.com/tuners-15/Brabus). Local shops might also have account with CEC, but CEC is the North America distributor of Brabus parts. If you're located in Socal, CEC is located in Irvine. It's pretty easy to install and the only thing you'll want to buy separate is some electrical tape to wrap the wire splicing to power up the light on top of the shifter. Retails for $375

you could probably get one made. When you buy the shifter, the top cap isn't placed in. You get to choose what type you want. They have the standard brabus "B", as well as the ones for manual shift. It's just a piece of plastic so I don't think it'd be that hard to get a mercedes one made (or cut out of) to put on top.

Hey AZN, your shifter has the C <> S button. I have a C <> M button. My S button is on the dash and controls damping and shifting Can't set the suspension to S and keep the shifter in C
And you have a Max Cool button on the aircon. How cool is that. I want one too!

I'd take you setup any day. Wish we had the selectable suspension in the US. Max Cool is OK if you want to be blown away. I live in Florida and I have only used it a couple of times. The auto settings on the aircon are phenomenal. The only AC I have seen that compares was in my old Toyota truck (Best Ever).
