auto > manual
On the contrary, the female's hands should be all over the driver...therefore

manual > auto

I have a 6 spd MT and love it! I refuse to drive auto which is why I didn't get the C350. So much more fun to drive and much more responsive.

I guess you don't drive in snow or lot's of traffic. Manual cars are *****. Yes I agree that the fun factor is a lot higher in manual car, but believe, after driving manual for 10 years, I switch to auto and love it much more. If I had an integra then I would rather have a manual car but c'mon this is a benz. You should be chilling while driving. I got auto.

I drive in lots of traffic and i dont think the manual is that much of a pain. I had a C300 auto for a month as a loaner and hated it.

manual > auto

No hate on u TB or auto drivers...but for me its jus a matter of preference, its not about the "cool" factor as I am over that adolescent part of my life. As for control, who wouldnt want more? Why not maximize the machine. And this is no ordinary 4 door sedan, its not called "sport" for no reason, it even has more torque than the 3 series...so i took advantage of it. Does that make me an immature kid?

And regarding the "driving a benz, you should b chilling" comment Sameer wrote....its an entry level benz, not a E or an S....so relax, ur not that balla yet.

For me, a manual transmission is the only way to go. It doesn't matter how good automatics or automated manuals get, it is simply more engaging and fun to drive a manual.

I'd rather have manual over auto, but went auto cause if you've ever driven in LA traffic every day for work........

auto for daily driver, manual for fun weekend cars.

I do drive in snow and prefer the manual as I have more control over the engine....and I still get to chill...I'm not shifting when I'm cruising down the highway for 10 miles to work.

I wish they made more mercedes in manual, because when my lease is up there is no car for me to upgrade into so I will prob get a 335 coupe or used S5.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
If they had not offered this car with a manual, I would not have purchased a Benz. I like everything about it, but that was my deciding factor. I am not a kid, but I am a bit immature. And I especially like to control my car.

Oh, check the threads on the C300 manual and C350 dyno runs for kicks.

haha do people read? this thread is for manual owner to share, if you drive a auto gtfo with all these words. this thread is to see how many c300 manual owner in this forum. and plus i heard manual is faster ;] even tho i got a c350 auto i feel like theres more action on a manual then just sitting there driving. its a c class so its no big deal and just sit there to relax. i mean if you was driving a S class then yeah because its huge and its made to feel comfy.

There is nothing wrong with the c300 being a manual, im sure it is more responsive than an auto. But think about it, if I wanted a little speed or action I might as well bought an evo or e46 m3 to take care of that. Its no doubt that Mercedes has came a long way in performance. But c'mon a c300 or c350 it not an offical sports car but more of a luxury performance cruiser. Like I said the money you have invested into these cars are for good reason. And I sure as hell dont plan on racing it even if I did have manual c300. Get a real sports car to do that, and let the benz be as it is .

its not even about racing. talking about buying manual in a evo or sti they cost about the same price as a c300 or more. but for that price you get a mercedes and have manual for fun of it. evo engine sure burn out fast and dont last long. why not spend your money for something good? maybe some people like driving manual more then auto.
