Thats prob the worst DIY to do with big hands :P took me about 30min....I had to get needle nose plyers...no way my hand fit...lol

Yes you need four LEDs total

Any hints on the amber side marker lights? on my 2008 C300 4matic sport the passenger side bulb fixture is coming away from the bumper cover; he bulb is fine, just that the part(s) appear to be like this: amber lens on outside of bumper cover, gray plastic with 2 hooks and 1 clip; bulb holder on inside of bumper cover, black plastic and what appears to be a screw hole that keeps the who shebang together, that is missing. If I substitute the missing screw, the entire assembly will not fit through the opening intact. The owner's manual says this is a particularly complex bulb change best left to a Mercedes dealer/service pirate. I can only guess what they would charge for a bulb change- probably more than my mortgage. any insight, hints, help would be much appreciated.

It's a simple, straightforward swap. I had no problem with the LED bulbs fitting into the housing as some others have mentioned.

The end result looks great and is a closer match to the HiD bi-xenons in light output.

I am getting ready to do these now. What position are people putting the LED bulbs back in at? Or is there only one way to push them back in? I am trying to get the most light and the LED's have a top and bottom, just wondering how people placed them in the socket to give off the most light.

EDIT-
I just put them in. 5 minute job with needle nose pliers. They seem to only sit one way when you insert the socket back into the hole. I will have to test light output tonight.

If I am not mistaken his blue are 8000k, white are 5000k. Just PM Mike @ AZN Optics (page 1, post 7 of this thread) and tell him which ones you want, he will set you up.

FWIW, I removed mine when I sold my C350 last Friday and they came out in minutes. If I don't use them in my E350 I am going to sell them cheap - they were in my car for 6-months/5,000 miles.

He Did the write up (DIY) Bc some people have more experience then other's so for you (ctgilles) something is even stupider then you thinking his write up was a waste of time... Thanks for the DIY! I did the lightblubs in 20mins. Makes a big differences for my C350 which had the yellow OEM eyelids. Now the 5000k matches the HIDs. Perfect....

sooo, i attempted to do it myself and failed on a simple project. i am very disappointed i think i even messed it up when i just turn on the right eyebrow the fog lights turn on also when they're not suppose to. i try putting the oem light back on after i gave up and it doesn't turn on now and i have a warning message of that light.

please help i have extended warranty you think it will cover ?

Try power cycling your vehicle. If you trigger bulb out error by having the bulb out for too long or in the wrong polarity and trigger the error, the vehicle computer will shut power to the socket (as there's no need to power a dead bulb) until then next time you start the ignition, then it'll reset and perform another check if you've fixed the bulb.

Is there anything left to do (Try) after a power cycle? I've purchased new LED's for my eyebrows and installed them and none of them came on. (I power cycled each time with each bulb) I checked that I didn't have bad bulbs in the trunk. They all work fine. I just attempted again to re-install them and same thing no light.

Put bulb in turn on car nothing...remove bulb turn car off, lock doors wait 30 sec insert bulb 180 degrees the other way and re-start. Is this the proper way to power cycle? The error message is totally annoying especially when I have bran new LEDs ready to go lol.

The instructions state not to insert all the way, yet when I pull it out a little it seems like it will fall out.

Anything to add here?

I've ran into some problems with these, wondering if anyone has some advise or have had the same issues, my first pair of LED lights burnt out and I purchased new ones but they won't work, they are the same ones I had the first time, I've flipped them and they have a light flicker when I put them in (sometimes) but for the most part they won't work. I tried another brand and the same thing, I checked the lights and they are all good. Maybe the previous ones burnt so bad it's now allowing a good contact? I need to get a test light to check them this week to see if power is running continuously or not, it's a pain bc my warning message keeps coming up, if I clip the plugs tips and run LED strips will the error light still come one? Advise anyone?

@hotcorner216 this IS happening to me right now. Still waiting for a solution. The LEDs are brand new & I've tested them to make sure they're working and they are. I've also tested the original (non led) bulbs and they work when I put them in so I don't think it's a wiring issue. I honestly don't know what else to do. I have four brand new LEDs and can't get them to work. I posted this a few posts up but no answer as of yet.

The inner ones on each side I had to use a long flat head to wedge out! This was a PITA!
