2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Facelift Photo?

After doing a search on the forum for the facelift I didn't find any other threads on it so I figured i'd start a new one for it. This is my first real thread by the way.

Anyway, I found some websites online showing what looks like a computer image rendering of the 2011 C-Class after the facelift. LED lights look to be coming in if this is correct.

Frankly, I don't like it, which means i'm most likely going to get a 2010 (4matic) before that model year finishes and option it out so that I can keep it a long time. However, it is tempting to wait if that new 3.5L DI engine does make it into the C-Class...

Anyway, here is the image:

They are guessing that the fogs will be changed so that it looks more like the 2010 E class, which is the general direction for mercedes. everyone is using LEDs.

I like it.

I am glad that it at least still looks like a C somewhat...it could be worse!

Isn't it just the same thing with new fogs? (can't see the full pic on my iPhone, only the one at the carebuyersguide thing)

To me it looked like the new lights option for the existing pre-facelift model, this lights option includes these led lights. There should be this same already for the GLK.

I would not place a bet on this but it does appear a bit confusing when these LED lights come with the face lift W221 and seem to come before the face lift for other cars.

But I cannot read the photo if the bumper was different from any of the currently available ones (excluding the LED lights)?

Keep in mind once again, these are artist renderings. They aren't real by any stretch of the imagination. Until spy photos are snapped of a test mule, just chock it up to one man's idea's of what he thinks will happen.

So this is what I think will happen ha ha... We all know that MB usually freshens up its vehicles in a four year cycle. New head lights, new tail lights, new wheels, the inclusion of l.e.d. lights of some sort in the front all seem right. The interior really needs a do over though, but from the looks of the GLK and new E sedan and coupe it would appear this is the direction MB is taking. So look for a stationary radio/command screen, the addition of some wood trim on the dash and maybe a reworking of the gauges, because for some reason MB always feels the need to tinker with those for some reason lol.

How about some wishful thinking thoughts...like Cognac interior, a choice of light or dark wood trim, Diamond White exterior paint, paddle shifters for U.S. cars and that oh so illusive direct injection 300hp V6!

Maybe I am a LED ***** but I will the more aggressive look of the new bumper. The general shape with its upswept lines make it look like the revised E90 front end. Seems less fussy than the current front clip. Hopefully they will improve on the quality of the plastic mesh grill at the same time.

But I think I am in the minority here...

I like it too... but,

I think the interior is great right now, the way it is. Maybe add a few new toys here and there, and a leather wrapped dash. (all the competitors are doing it :P)
Why would we want a stationary command screen? This rolling one is great :P

Anyways, anyone know when we will get the actual details for the 2011?
I was thinking of ordering my car in January/February/March 2010, but I may just wait until this next model if I know the details and how it will look inside and out.

Original Concept car

Pity they did not stay with the original concept - It was pretty - excuse resolution. Will try & find a better shot.

A tiny change

This tiny little change seems to have caused more excitement than warranted. Adding LEDs where the useless foglights used to be is just in keeping with all the other German cars. After all, other than the mirror change, this is the only external difference. Might be some new wheels, most likely the stockers.

Gilroy. Hmmmm. Must be the garlic.

C350 Sport
I had a 2004 Acura TL and over all really loved the car, the only car I found that I liked more was the C350 Sport, I traded the Acura in for it.

What made the Acura so great was when the next gen TL came out, I ended up loving my TL that much more. I'm hoping the same happens with the C class, then I'll have less reason to upgrade. =)

That would be a complete overhaul, not a facelift :P
I don't like it to much though....

Anyone know when we can expect the REAL pictures/stats of the 2011?

Because there for awhile there were quite a few posts on this board about the screen either breaking, not working, or squeaking. The discussion has been had here before, but if something moves its bound to break and the small motors used to raise and lower the screen don't seem to be bullet proof.

Looks like it's only a change to the front bumper with LED lights and the sideview mirrors.
Subtle, but I don't mind it. The LED lights look much nicer than the small handle bar shaped ones on the new E-class.

I like the quad driving/fog lights on the new E-class luxury model.

The sideview mirrors are not a face lift modification. Our W204 from early 2009 already has those and you can see "older" cars here at the forum with those mirrors. For some odd reason it looks like they started to put those for US/Canadian cars only some time later.

Funny thing is - what irritates me most on all the new German designs is the huge unprotected door areas. I miss the protector/impact strips. They served a practical purpose. I'm just waiting for the first door damage on our 204.
