Hood Emblem
Has anyone bought a different hood emblem for their car? I was thinking of buying a black carbon fibre mercedes hood emblem...
any thoughts? Any other cool ones out there? (Non-AMG, non-lorinser, non-carlsson, etc)

the etchings on that carbon fiber one looks pretty flawed. but of course, from afar, nobody would notice=)
i wouldn't mind one with black borders (instead of blue).

I have one of those. I painted the actual holder for the medalion 040 black.
It is smaller than the stock medalion, and as a previous poster has said the star is not the cleanest but from a distance it looks good.

I thought it would be neat if someone made custom hood emblems for like $150-200... where you submit to them your design, and they build a high quality version of it. I'd do it. You could put your initials, etc...

No interest? I just took my emblem out of my hood, and it's really cheapy plastic, so a custom one could be the same cheap material... so it shouldnt cost that much. Any ideas where you could get it done?
