Subtle brake upgrade
My car came equipped with the smallest brakes the Sports Package has to offer, 295mm cross drilled rotors.
Looks so small and puny and doesnt match the overall stance of the car
IMO.
So I swapped them for 350 brakes :
Now were talking
C300 cars have the same stock setup as my car, here is what you need if you want to upgrade:
2x Rotors A204 421 10 12 (cross drilled, also available without holes)
2x Caliper carrier A204 421 11 94
2x Spring A000 993 46 07
1x Left caliper A204 421 35 81
1x Right caliper A204 421 36 81
1x Pads A005 420 10 20

C350
Looks good! How about the rears? I have a C350 with that setup in the front but my rears are different, would it be possible to retrofit a OEM setup with drilled rotors in the rear?

I'd be nice to get a BBK up front and somehow use the front setup in the rear.

Very interesting and looks nicely done.....What about the issues of front/rear proportioning? This would seem to invite the tail end get very light under braking?

I don't know which discs the 204.089 has but in my opinion the brakes are far too sensitive, it makes driving uncomfortable. Perhaps I should buy your old discs, I assume it would allow 16 inch winter tyres too which is not possible with the current discs on our 204.089. Bigger discs look a lot better but I'm too old to care about the looks.

204.089 use the same size rotors as my above upgrade, 320mm
16" wheels do work on this setup, at least the OE wheel "Pristix" wich I have tested.

There is a small downside, the new brakes are at least 30% heavier than the previous setup
The 295mm caliper is made entirely out of aluminum and is very light, the 320mm caliper is mostly steel and only part aluminum.

They are one piston floating calipers.
This gets more and more common on newer cars now, theyre alot lighter and not as complex as multiple piston calipers, its also easier to replace pads on a floating caliper.
Multiple piston calipers are though still often found on more extreme cars.

Do you notice any difference driving over choppy roads?

Did you replace the rears or just the fronts? Or are the rears the same on your car and the C350? Great upgrade! I was thinking about doing the same on mine. Do you feel an improvement in braking power?

Yes, the brakes feel a lot firmer now, it feels that I have a alot of stopping power if I would need it,
The rears are still stock but the only real difference there is that the 350 rear brakes are ventilated, there is not much diameter difference.
