Are staggered wheels okay on 4matic?

I'm currently shopping for wheels for my C300 4matic. I noticed that the wheels and tires came staggered from the factory. I owned couple 4wd cars, and none of them comes with staggered wheels. I'm just wondering if I can use staggered size wheels on the C? If I can, how wider the real wheels can be? Is the width limited to 8.5 for the front and 9.5 for the rear, or I can go wider than that on the rear? Let's just say I'm going for 19x8.5 and 19x10.

Thank you for any help and suggestions,
Will

Going staggered is not a problem with 4matic as long as the radius of the rim is the same.. Soo front and back 19's aren't a problem. I know there's guys on this forum with 10" wide rim in the back soo if that's what you want you should be fine as long as your offset is the rite size.. Good luck

Its not the rim size that is important, its the tire size,
use a tire diameter calculator to make sure the outside diameter are the same front and rear.

Just keep the rolling circumference of the tyres within 2% of one another and all will be fine. The Tirerack has usefull tables giving you revs per mile on all tires which will help you get this correct. - Good luck

i talked to the mercedes dealer who claims its not ok to stagger your tires on a 4matic. Can anybody post a link from a reliable source saying it does indeed come staggered or is ok to stagger your wheels on a c300 4matic?

C350 4Matic in Canada comes standard with staggered wheel width. You can verify this at www.mercedes-benz.ca

Unless things have changed, North American W204s with sport package comes with staggered wheel fitment regardless of 4Matic or not.
