25 BHP for $800?
I have never had any of my previous cars tuned. I was quoted $795 for a guaranteed minimum 25 bhp and 25 btq from a Kleemann tune.
Is that a good deal?
What do you think?
Will there be a noticeable difference?

2014 Ghibli S Q4 & 2008 C350
For the Kleemann ECU tune for my C350, they quoted me $1500 if I recall. $800 would be a steal. I think they claimed it was around a 20HP & TQ gain on the 3.5L, probably a little less on the C300.
Who offering you this price? Are you sending it straight to Kleemann yourself?

Mercedes Benz
25 hp/ 25 tq is really streching it. I would say a solid 20 hp/tq across the whole rev range. But its not just the increase in power that really change the car. They change the timings, fuel/air ratio, open up the throttle body another 30-40%, raise rev limiter, increased throttle response, more violent shift points, + the increase in gas mileage because the car works easier. For 800 bucks, its money well spent. You won't regret it.

Before getting my brand new C350 I test drove the C300 and did not feel a difference at all. The only reason I got the C350 was equipment and looks(rims, lip etc) So I don't understand how you would feel a diference with 25hp! If you really want more power simply get the c63 other than that I consider that waste of money

lol? Are you serious? At first I only drove the c300 and completely dismissed the car because of how it drove. Then a few months later we went back to mercedes and the dealer persuaded me to try a c350... completely different.

It is a local shop that the Kleemann site referred me to. I name dropped some friends who have spent obscene amounts of money with them and this is what they told me. I do have to pay additional $75 for 2 dyno pulls (before and after) but they said the results were guaranteed.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Aka: do it. It sounds like a good deal. And if it is guaranteed, they should refund your money if the results are not there. Does their program wipe the factory program before replacing it with theirs? I am amazed at how far behind Mercedes ECU tuners are compared to companies like Neuspeed, APR, GIAC, Dinan and so on. Plus they seem so illusive.
Munchen: Try the manual transmission. When I drove both C300 and C350 with the auto, I told the salesman that MB needs to bring more to the table to compete. Then I found out that I could get the 6spd. Beter, but still not where it should be. Something just kept bringing me back to the car though.

It depends on your driving sensitivities. Some people can notice a 5hp increase, some people can't notice a 30hp increase. It all depends on what training you've had to take advantage of the technology you are using.
If the Kleemann tune really does net 25/25 then in terms of price/performance it is a good value. I'd be interested in knowing how it turns out, keep us posted!

its tough making power on N/A MBs.......tune is the way to go......though, not sure what kind of mods are available to you......to fully optimize your tune, i would get it done after full exhaust, intake, and light weight crank pulley assuming these are all available for the W204.
Also, check with them to see if you can get your car retuned, and at what cost if you add more mods. (some places, like LET do it for free!)
