Will this Fakra cable work for the Kenwood backup Camera?

it is a fakra female to female rca plug?

will this work, or do i need a fakra male plug to plug into the back of the command unit????

what is the command fakra connector required to plug into the back of the commend unit, male or female? are their male and female FAKRA type plugs or are they all the same???

anybody installed the backup cam or an aux video source that knows if this is the right cable???

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think 'that' cable will work. That cable is a fakra C (gps) cable, I THINK you need a fakra A (radio) cable. The connectors are slightly different. Hopefully somebody else can confirm if I'm right or wrong.

fyi this cable took about 20 days to receive and a standard rca cable wouldnt connect to it . I would stay away.

Well that sucks. I am still waiting on mine. What do you mean by a standard RCA not fitting? Is their a different RCA that I don't know about?

Not sure if there are different RCA types, but I couldn't fit an rca cable into the connector. The hole was way to small. I tried to make the hole bigger and ended up breaking it. If you want a solder free easy cable I would just order one from midcity enginerring, although I hear they are expensive.

This may be offtopic, but do you DIY rear-view camera guys wire the ACC power and the reverse sensor wire into the same reverse light power?

The MidCity cable has the correct right angle connector. So it will fit behind the COMAND HU without putting weight of the unit on the cable.

18 bucks plus shipping I think. Expensive but perfect.
On ebay you can find a FAKRA A type. This will fit the Comand, but the proper cable is a FAKRA E type. For video signals. Green color like the Comand connector.
You can buy both A and E and it will work but if you want the perfect fit you need an E type. The one of the link. Ciao

I ordered the cable from midcity, didn't wanna take the chance at getting the wrong cable AGAIN. Don't feel like waiting another 15 days for a second cable. Midcity told me i'll have it in 2 days.

Well guess what happened, midcity sent it to the WRONG address! Luckily someone in my town called the number on the package and I was able to pick it up. The world doesn't want me to have it.

I finally replaced my crappy home-made cable with the correct cable, finally 100% done with my rear camera installation!
