As you won't be going through the rear mufflers, it will likely be quite loud and raw. I tried straight pipes for a few days and honestly didn't want to drive until I could get the x-pipe installed. It sounded really, really bad and I was honestly embaressed to have my Benz sounding like that...

Does the x-pipe have a noticeable difference in sound from whatever stock is? Where can I hear one?

do people recommend getting an x-pipe put on? How much should it cost?

Anyone know of a good place to get it done in Dallas?

STF or check on youtube. A couple members have posted videos so you can hear the difference.

i had the magnaflow x-pipe installed today...........sounds great, not too loud but has that sporty sound to it like it should have to begin with. do not install a staight pipe....it will sound too loud...you'll end up removing it.

IDK how straight pipes can make a C300 much louder or annoying? than stock really.... I installed straight pipes on my C63 and while it did increase the exhaust note it's nothing that sounds too loud and i get compliments everywhere i go for it.

Yes, but your AMG is a different beast. I doubt it would sound so good on our non-AMG cars. Without having heard yours I can't judge, but I imagine it's REALLY loud.

Kinda sounds like two misfiring, rusted muffler, three cylinder Triumphs trying to race....
I had a couple 350 Chevy small blocks with straight pipes and they sounded amazing(really miss that) but the small displacement six just doesn't pump enough air to make it sound right.
