Can't wait....
Can you post a couple good close up pictures of the DRL area with the lights off? I want to see the fitment of the black piece in the fog area.

Also, can you get a ballpark of the shipping cost to the US? Trackable with insurance would be ideal.

Thanks!!

Fitment is very good.
I think shipping cost to the US is about USD50 to USD80.

I was thinking mesh could be nice. But after i installed mine, i really don't mind the matt black at all. With the LED switched on, it really doesn't matter.

I think mesh would be ideal, although the matte black isn't that bad however I think the fitment on the inside edge seems a little off like it doesn't follow the body line as well. The outside edge seems like a great fit.

Considering that you need to cut the bumper to fit these, if you were to install these and then change your mind, would it still be possible to revert back to the OE foglight?

If you were to revert to the original foglight, you would have to create brackets to hold the foglight. or may be glue them back to the original mesh cover.
I used to drive with my HID fogs on at night. But fogs are fogs, they can't illuminate the road in front much. In my opinion, my car looked cool with fogs (HID or halogen) on. But after switching to LED, i don't think i will ever want to revert back to fogs. And i think this is the direction the future models is heading.

I paid $700 for them. Seller has given discount to forum members at $670 now.

How was the install? Is it plug and play? Can you describe the wiring harness connection?

Also, how much for mesh install?

Hakkinen.. the mod is great, i have to admit!... but to me those plastic bases.. they look a little "off" ...now that i see the upclosed photo, they don't even flow with the car's body line on the bumper..

Sorry, was a bit motivated to do it, but now i held back.. They sure look nice!..

I love it ! It makes a huge difference on the car. I really want to do that mod to mine but it is a bit too pricey.

Question is: are you willing to cut the bumper. Because once you do that, if you decide to switch back to normal halogen fogs, then you have to find some way to secure your fogs.
Wiring is simple. You can either direct wired them to your fog cables. Or you can connect wire from the fuse box in such a way when you start your car, the DRL also lights up. But you may have to get your dealer to remove the error message since your car can't detect the fogs now.

In pictures they do like like plastic, but they are actually fiberglass.
Anyways, $700 is not a small sum to pay. If there is a mesh version, i am sure it will go way up to $800 ++.
I really don't mind the matt black on my black car. Everyday i am enjoying admiring glances from many car owners & the DRL's reflection off the car in front of me. So bright.....

Agree. I'm holding off too since seeing the close up. The inside portion doesn't follow the body lines that well. At least that how it appears in the picture. Maybe they can address that in their mold??

Since mesh is not available, I wonder how they would look wrapped in CF?

I was trying to figure out a way to do this on the W203, that retrofit definitely looks great in your W204's

I am thinking of doing this myself. I have found the OEM e-class DRL online for about $200 each.

You guys are correct, I can't locate it currently, but someone else in Taiwan had this mod done and used the e-class mesh and had the shop modify the mesh to make it fit into his bumper. I didn't realize it had to be cut out for it to fit... That kinda puts a damper on things for me then.

How do you secure them to the bumper then?

I wouldn't do it if it wasn't reversable. Who knows what side effects you might encounter that might require you to undo it.
