debadge after a length of time?

If I debadge a vehicle after 1+ years since production, would colors underneath mismatch the other exposed paint generally?

I would say yes depending on the condition of the car and how it was treated (if it was always park in the sun), I dont think white would show as much of a difference comparing with black color.

I debadged mine right when I got it and the previous owner obviously had some bodywork done because there I was left w/ phantom badges (four perfect little squares where each charactor was) Either someone set the badges on fresh paint and they settled onto the clearcoat or, someone masked of each pice and shot paint. I have since had all emblems removed, 3 holes under my trunkstar filled and the whole trunk repainted.
Good luck, hope your expierience goes without as many roadblocks as mine.

You are driving a ten year old E that does not have the same paint as a W204.

And, I dental-flossed the emblems off my red C300 at about one year and there is no trace of their former location on the paint.

Debadge

How should I go about taking the C300 off of my car? Is there glue underneath that requires chemical removal? What is safe for the paint?

Blowdryer on really hot and fishing line/dental floss. Or you could wait for a very very hot day and just use fishing line/dental floss

There is a DIY floating around on the web somewhere. Basically a heatgun or blow dryer, fishing string follwed by a microfiber rag w/ acetone or some type of googone. Make sure your car is free of any dust, dirt, ect. Google "debadge diy" and other keywords that apply. In the meanwhile I'll look it up for you too man. Good luck

Edit: I'm back - here you go...........
