Finally Did a Nice Fishtail after 25 months! ESP-OFF is no joke
Was having a good time driving my ride home from MNF tonight, since it has been running tip top and all the mods are finally installed and working for now...
and at the stop light off the fwy I decided to hit the ESP-OFF button and then see if i would notice anything when I floored it and went WOT while turning HARD left in sport mode....
I have tried this many other times with ESP-ON to get a good start on an angled fwy on-ramp, and the back end never slid out or the tires never squealed with my c350...
well this time it let loose and I did a fat slide for like 2 seconds midway through the turn that staightened out nicely with a steady hand.... car finally felt bad @ss for once and i was suprised, as I thought even with ESP-OFF, it still would not burn rubber and fishtail when @ WOT unless in the secret "DYNO MODE" or something (BTW, how do you get into DYNO MODE again???)
i know i sound like a beginner driver to those of u who THRASH and do burnouts and power slides all the time and shred on the track and what not, but I normally drive like a weak sauce cus I wanna save my rubber so it was a big deal for me...
Note/ standard disclaimer: Do not try what I did, I do not recommend it at all...especially people who have never done it before and are not professional drivers on a closed course... it can be dangerous and you can slide into the other lane or into a wall or something or oncoming traffic and get hurt or hurt somebody else... it is crazy how much ESP saves you from losing control, I never realized until tonight the difference it makes... just wanted to put this out there for informational purposes for all Noobs who are unaware what ESP does

His signature says his car is "loaded" so I don't think he can fit any more AMG badges
(but to be slightly serious for a second, rb23lb, do you really have all of the US options? I guess that would make it true that your car is fully loaded, for the US anyway.)
Look at this old post I found:

nice research acr2001! I give you props, not gonna lie for pulling out that old post....
HOWEVER.... i have a reason behind anything i do... a c280 with 2 exaust tips with an amg badge looks ridiculous, as obviously no amg car would ever have 2 exausts tips only... stupid, retarded, worthless attempt to pose....
me on the other hand... i have a fully loaded c350 with an identical rear to a c63... while it is still posing, it is not ANYWHERE CLOSE to as much of a pose as a c280 like i quoted in my old post...
to be honest, i always told myself because i really did like the look of the balance with the amg badge, that only when i got the quad exaust replicated like the c63 (which looks great by the way on my car), that i would finally put a badge on for looks...
comparing my c280 post to what I did, is the quintessential apples to oranges comparison

that has nothing to do with amg badges

It's just that the AMG badge prevents any respect for your otherwise respectable car.

Well that's pretty cool. Shame they screwed the 08's out of the memory seats (not saying that to be an ***, I have many of the US options on my 203 but no memory seats, which annoys me)

So based on tail pipes alone the C350 is not as much of an AMG poser as the C280 was? I guess so.. if a woman who is 3 months pregnant is not "as pregnant" as a woman who is 8 months.. Logic FAIL.

p.s. I know i am bringing this thread back from the dead but its just i had to state this, because on my last car V6ers wud upbadge to a V8 status and it gave V8's a bad name until we kicked ***.. so upbadging total poser move..

i can do burn out and power slides with my C300 but the only thing different is that i have a 6spd manual with ESP off it is very dangerous but fun.
