ok so i just got a c300 sport in iridium silver, and i want to black out my grille, the mercedes stars in back and front, and the chrome trunk strip as well.

i also want to do a vinyl outline of the taillights a la the brabus c63.

my question is what would be best, gloss black, satin black or matte? or some combination of both? personally, matte would be my least fav choice, but the car already has lots of matte black trim, so im thinking i should just match it all around

anybody have any pictures they can direct me to or post?

 

I haven't seen anyone do it yet, but I would be interested to know how it would turn out to wrap your grille with the 3M CF Vinyl Treatment

 

Agreed. That would probably be the most unique way to go, especially if the CF has a good overall finish to it.

personally i'd like to add do a matte black grille with gloss black star and those lines and everything else on the car matte black FTW!

 

my car is darker, but those are pictures of the chrome trim on the trunk and around the windows wrapped in matte black vinyl. i dont have an updated picture, i'll try to get one soon. (star on back is matte black and grille is matte black) and i have the rear light trim, i just have to paint matte black and install.

ok so here is what i went with..... debadged c300, gloss black on the back chrome strip and mb star, two tone front grille, just like AznC300, gloss black hood emblem and gloss black chrome strips surrounding the fog lights. also did glossy black vinyl outline on the taillights which came out perfect and id recommend 100% to anybody with an iridium silver C class.

emblems and grille are still at body shop being painted, so the car is still a work in progress.

i think next step will be to do the window and side moldings a glossy black.

ill have the pix posted within the next few days, ill be picking up my grille and emblems on saturday, im keeping my fingers crossed everything comes out great.

one other thing, i installed the clear side markers from ebay and i hate them.... they have a white border that sticks out like a sore thumb. whats the best solution to better blend them in with the car? im thinking either paint the markers the same color as the car, or maybe paint the white border black, to match all the other black trim
