Some will advocate the Passport for false signal lock out. But, I prefer:

http://www.valentine1.com/

for actual performance, including unique arrows to show direction of radar source and bogey counter for number of sources. Ideal for situations with multiple radar traps and determining if radar is coming up from the rear or in front.

My PBA plate costs $20 bucks a year, and I GAR-OUN-TEE it's been better to me than ANY fuzz-buster I've EVER owned...

I have had a V1 for years and it has always worked well for me.

I plan on getting a Valentine 1 with the Mid city engineering dash interface when I get back to the States. Does anyone else have this setup?

  • Speed cameras and red light cameras are two different things.
  • We can debate reasonable speeds and enforcement traps, but there is no excuse for going through red lights.
  • But, there is a completely free sensor and warning system available to everyone for red lights.
  • It's called the yellow light.
  • So, just stop.
Thank you.

As far as I'm concerned they are all a waste of money UNLESS you are sure the police in your area have only radar and not laser.
If they have laser the only thing that will work is a laser jammer which is not really legal but you can buy it. Your Valentine/Escort will happily beep and inform you that you just got caught when you are hit with a laser gun

Laser jamming and/or radar complete, everything is available. Why needed? I don't see it, but... Just realize you're playing a different form of Russian Roulette.

Beltronics GX65 have everything plus updates and GPS and better detection than the V1. The V1 has a ton of false alerts and not as customizable as the GX65. I have had both and the V1 was lame so I sold it and got the GX65. Google the reviews and decide for yourself.

while some folks love the V1 (https://mbworld.org/forums/2658494-post18.html), the Escort Passport 9500ix or ci (https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...4-c-class.html) also rules...and probably more geared towards your interests.

Agreed! although the 9500ci is the "custom install" version and runs for $2,000 I think. They mount the sensors in the front and rear bumpers as well as some other things. I would just go for the 9500ix for $499
