Also, pictures of the inside of the bulb housing. Just thought if it might help people to get a better idea of how to change the bulbs themselves. Not a complete DIY, but as described in the picture:

1. Remove the power cord connected to the bulb as shown in the picture.

2. Press both ends of the metal clips together to release the hook as shown.

3. Lastly, move the clips sideways/away from the OEM bulb to extract the bulb.

4. Replace the bulb housing with the aftermarket bulb.

5. Replace the metal clips in the hook.

6. Attach the power cord to the connector of the new bulb.

Hope this helps buddies!

I know it is a little late, but it would have been good to have compared the stock on one side and the iJDMs on the other. Otherwise, they seem to look pretty bright...

Man I've been looking for a DIY for installing xenons (bulb swap). I got my bulbs two days ago too but the on and off rain here in SoCal has prevented me from putting em on. Did you move anything to get into them? There's (in my opinion) a lack of room, especially on the driver's side.

Well, that is something i missed out. But take my word for it, these look lovely without depreciating much brightness. In fact, i can't notice the difference in luminosity, but the white light light looks exotic!

Yes! you are correct. There is very less space to actually work through. However, you could say i was very eager to do a DIY so i just forced everything. I was initially scared but then, i realized the wire clips were pretty strong. So i just worked my way through. You need to be patient with the clips! And you just need to remove the plastic housing cover to reach the bulb. Nothing else at all!

Haha! No i didn't. In fact i am victim of certain racial comments on the forum so i was thinking of quitting myself. Anyway, talking about the bluish tint, it'l prevail for a while i guess. My eyelids were bluer when i had just installed them, now they look much better. I hope you ordered xenon white?!

Thanks Nik. Yeah I read the comment. I wouldn't stand for it if I were you. But don't let people like that get to you. They're probably one of those people who would go around thriving on such comments. I encourage you to stay! And yes, you're absolutely right. The blue hue of the LEDs is more present during the first break in period and does settle out into a nice xenon white. :]

Also, thanks. I guess I'll just wing it too. I'm just afraid of scratching the bulbs while trying to put em in. But still. I can probably manage. I'll do em tomorrow if it doesn't rain!

I completely understand! I realize i do have SOME friends in this forum. I don't go about bragging about my social status probably that is why some people take advantage of that. In any case, i need not justify to such people about what i own and what i can own. Talking about the bulbs, just be a little careful. I think you'll manage, you could also try placing the bulb in 1st to prevent touching it, which is what I did. Or you could place the power cord 1st and then place the bulb in the housing. Works both ways!

The passenger side can be done easily, but the driver side is a big tight. It can be done but the only thing I worry about is what the lens touches before it get to the housing. I definitely recommend taking out the driver side tire and the inner fender cover. It would be worth it.

Nik, did the bulb change the beam pattern in any way, or is it the same as stock?

No, they haven't changed any pattern (Cut-off pattern). I will try to click a picture and show you. Besides that, cut-off patterns are altered only by the shields not by the bulbs. Forgive me if you already knew that buddy!

Please don't let one idiot give you a bad impression of the forum. I was happy to see him put on suspension after making his comments.

Are you able to elaborate on how to remove HID? I pressed everywhere, and my thumbs are all bruised now haha

Bahahaha! My bad! And sorry for replying so late. I managed to find a picture for you that exactly describes how you should remove the clips. What you need to do is, push the clips down from top edge and slide them inwards to release the hooks! Voila! No bruised fingers my friend

Hey jhm. Can you give me some pointers on how to do that driver's side? I can do the passenger's side easily but I'd rather not drive around with a 4300k--6000k set up. I'm honestly too chicken to do that driver's side with all that junk in between. Did you move things around or...?

The best way I can think off is to remove the inner fender cover, it should be wide open from there. And possibly removing the tire if needed.

lol, Glad that I can provide some pointers.
Um, Well, I didn't move anything at all.
I just "wing"...or wung it. lol
The best advise I can give is that, stand beside mirrors, and do it from that position. It gives you the best line of sight and room to do it. Plus, I would take out the bulb first then unplug it. I find it easier that way.
It only took me less than 5 mins both sides. very quick and easy, and likewise for installing, do it from that position, access is much easier.
Hope this helps

Haha. Okay. I'll try it tomorrow. Removing the inner fender cover and tire seem a bit too....idk, time consuming for this job. I'll see what I can do I guess.

I dont think the tired removal is needed, but just turning it in should be enough. From the engine, taking out the bulb will definitely be too tight for me. I can take it out, but more than likely I will be hitting the bulb with something on the way in. Taking out the inner fender is not hard and IMHO is the safest way as HID bulbs are very sensitive.

Umm, do you just remove the pins in the wheel well to take out the tire cover? Or is there something else on the inside I need to take out to remove the inner fender cover?
