DIY for removing all wood trim pieces?

I'm gonna have a friend of mine wrap all my wood dash trim pieces with the CF vinyl...does anyone know if there is a DIY for how to remove all the trim pieces? I think a few people on here have wrapped/swapped their trim pieces.

Thanks in advance for the help!

There's a guide for the door trim somewhere, but I'm curious to see how the console pieces are removed

Yea I remember seeing instructions for the door trim. If I remember correctly there are screws and clips that hold the door panel on. Once you get the door panel off there are clips that hold the door trim on.

But I have no idea how to get the center console pieces off...that's what I really need help with.

Anybody?

first u take off the ash tray, remove the panel covering the ash tray, pop out the center console from the bottom right or left with a flat while pushing the back. That how I did it. well just to make sure you talking about this piece right? the one where you can move the a/c etc?

Actually I need to remove the AC trim, ash tray cover and the trim around the shifter.

How do you get the ash tray door off? Once that is off do the other 2 pieces just pop off by using a screwdriver?

If i have not forgotten, first push open the ash tray cover as you do normally. Then press it down hard and push it towards you, the cover should come off. After that just pull out the A/C cover from the bottom first.
Hope this helps.

You have to open/remove the ashtray cover first. Then the shifter trim can easily come off if you lift it up starting at the the edges near the ashtray.

BTW, here is my post about changing the interior trim. But not quite detailed on the astray & shifter part.

Ok so I was able to get the trim pieces off the center console...but cant get the door panels off to unscrew the door trim. I unscrewed the 2 torx screws but I'm guessing there are clips also holding the panel on. I tried just pulling on them but they won't budge. Do you remember what else is involved besides taking off the 2 torx screws?

No not yet. Tried to get all the trim off but couldn't figure out how to take the door panels off to remove the wood trim on the doors. Been raining all weekend here so I'm gonna give it another try when it stops later this week

There was a great write-up and plenty of pictures in the C63 forum a few months ago about removing all the trim.

Would have been great if the post was made a sticky as I can't find it anymore. You may have better luck searching.

Just an FYI. I made a post on the C63 board and someone was able to find the link for the very detailed DIY for removing all the interior trim. I added it to the sticky DIY thread but here's the link...
