Well to start off, do you have the bi-xenon option? Next, is yours a luxury or a sport model? The reason I'm asking this is because the bulbs used in the fogs are different for the sport and luxury model.
Next, its for you to choose between a retrofit for the whole headlamp assembly, an aftermarket hid kit or just tinted halogen bulbs. You can check out the forum for the retrofit for more info. I'm not very sure about that.
As for the hid kits, most of the forum members here are using hid kits from DDMtuning kit and all have positive feedbacks. Lastly, as for the aftermarket halogens, I would recommend the ones from Philips or Hella. Not so sure about Luminics though. I'm using the Diamond Vision from Philips on my lows and fogs myself and I'm very satisfied.
I don't think you're talking about the voltage. What you mean is the colour of the bulbs. The higher up the Kelvin you go the bluer the light is. Light output also decreases.

You can get D1S bulbs from e92-lighting (who is a member of this site and provides for the majority of the e90post community) here : http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...ITE-75-24.html
They're 6000k bulbs by the way, which is a crystal white with a light blueish tint. They have 8000k too if you want a slightly bluer look. But be warned, you lose light output.
Or you can get some here. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/JDM-Optimal...1s_d1r_d1c.htm
This site's been growing recently on these forums. They seem to be a reputable distributor.

Install HID. The output of bulbs are very poor. I have a tire and dertailing shop here in Domincan Republic and i have tried all the bulbs brands(piaa, luminics, etc.). I install a Bambo xenon system 35 ww without the error canceler in the low beams in my car. The computer did not present any error. Maybe is because my 2009 c200k ,the model Mercedes sell here, have a diferent software that allows to install any xenon kit.

I really wouldn't call the output poor. I'll take pictures of my sister's lights&output if you want. She has a C350 without P2, and I have one with P2, so I'll compare if you want. But trust me, if you get a decent pair of bulbs that don't destroy the cutoff and such, then output is damn near that of bi-xenons (especially if you get 5000ks or something).

Thank you! Light color somehow never got me interested, but light output does. I guess I will leave the standard OE bulbs alone until one fails. They do a great job of illumination for me, but I would always look at a bulb which lights up the road better, short of replacing headlamp assemblies or modifying wiring. Xenon prices are !!

I just installed my 8k D1S from E92. although not suggested from many, including some vendors,i actually like the look a lot.
Now i just need to find matching eyelid bulbs as my Polargs are only to match the stock 4300k's.
Edit:
Here are pictures of E92-Lighting's D1S 8K

Could you please clarify for me...you had the stock basic headlamp system and simply switched bulbs to get that increase in light output to better light up the road? If so, could you please tell me what model of Diamond Vision?

MBWorld Fanatic!
Yea I had the stock basic headlamps. Bi-xenon is a standalone option here and it costs nearly $3000 SGD which I don't think is worth it. I'm using the Philips Diamond Vision. Not sure what you mean by what model cause there is only 1 model which I know of.

Thank you...it sounds like I can just swap out bulbs to get improved road lighting. I did not know if Philips made more than one type of applicable bulb. I will look for the Diamond Visions....thanks again!

No worries. You can try check out the pics I have post up to see whether you like the colour output of the lights. Another option which you have is the Philips Crystal Vision. More to the stock xenon look.

These are the Diamond Visions you're looking for. http://www.ipmart.com/main/product/P...php?prod=42670
Do take pics of how they look if you get them! I'm still debating between HID fogs and these!

anything pass 5000K temp the lumen starts to drop. highest lumen range is from 4300-5000k to 6000k. 6000k temp lumen output is only slightly below your stock 4300k bulb, so changing them is really only for the color.
I had 6000k bulbs on my 203 previously and then went back to 4300k. the 4300k whiter/warmer light is easier on your eye.
just bought the HID kit for the 204 with 4300k bulbs. loves it.
edit: corrected my mistake on what i meant...lol
