C350 sport, want luxery hood ornament

Easy to get out. Open the hood and look under the badge, there are two clips held in place by springs. I had to use needle nose pliers to compress them (fat fingers) then it just lifts out. If the star ornament is the same as the flat it should just pop in. I am sure if you order it from your AD they would put it on gratis during a service.

The star ornament has a retaining base and spring to allow some flex in case anyone runs into it and prevents people from stealing it. If you buy it new, the ornament will fit right in, then you just give the base a quarter turn to set it.

Post some pictures after you do this, I am wondering myself about adding the hood star but I always felt it would look a bit odd keeping the sport grille and having the grill emblem + the hood emblem together...

You are right. Too many stars. When I installed a Sport grille in my Lux, I changed to the flat badge although I miss seeing the star through the windshield.
