Tint %?

Guys and Gals I have a picture request for a white C300 or 350 with tinted windows. Please post what % tint it is. We are getting the windows tinted on our new C300 and want to get a look at some pics. Thanks a bunch, take care.

What color interior? That makes a huge difference in tint visibility (when looking inside, and thus how dark the tints will look overall).

do 35 or 20% all around. no darker. it looks tacky. you want them to kinda see the interior.

Is there a middle # between the 2 or are these standard %'s? Which is darker?

the Percentage is how much light it is allowing to come in, so basically 5% is allowing only 5 % of light to come in, whereas a 35% is 35% of light. and so on.

usually most standard tints come in 5, 20, 35, 50 are usually the most produced films and you can get them for cheap.

Appreciate the posts. This is my wife's new C300 and she is picky. On my Escalade I have the darkest tint legally available but it is also Black/Black and that makes a difference.

i was about to buy a white c63 and it had 50% all around all 5 windows, and it looked clean! no need to murder them out. you want people to see you driving that bad boy.

I like how you think and I'm sure my wife feels the same thing. She's only had the Benz for 2 days and has already decided that MB is the only vehicle for her from now on. Girls and their bling...

Thanks again

It depends on where you live , as to what the level of necessity is for tint. If your wife is driving the car, and doesn't want to have a harder time seeing at night, then go 20%. If you live in Phoenix, or another variant of Hell's furnace, then murder that thing out. (I'd still be happy to live there) The temp, and amount of daylight is a critical variable in this equation.

Also do AMG models come with tinted glass? If so that 50% is going to look darker than 50%

I personally dont like anything over 20% on tint. Its a waist of money to do anything lighter than that. But I also like my windows dark. I have 18% on my Benz and 18% on my Escalade

It's important to have the same % all around. For black interiors, 50% if your state (like Califorinia) doesn't allow darker tint in the front windows. Otherwise, 35%.
