Seat Heights C250/300/350
Just joined the forum after browsing awhile as questions have arisen.
I've been around to the local dealers and sat in a few of the C class models. I even took a C300 out for a test drive (nice!), however.... there is one slight problem. I'm 6'3" and my head rubs against the roof in a C300. Makes it pretty difficult to want to buy one if every bump on the road will put me into the sunroof.
Now, when I sit in a C250 my head does not touch. Presumably this is due to the seat not having the automatic lumbar adjustment which the other one did needing another motor below the seat.(?)
Has anyone noticed if the seat difference between the C300 and C350 lets one sit lower down in the 350? Or if the Pano roof makes enough of a difference that my head won't rub?
I suppose if I am unable to fit I will have to convince myself a C63 is in order; which I fit in nicely. Wasted 5 bucks of gas just revving the engine in the parking lot.
Help sensibility win (and my wallet) folks.
Thanks much,
Tyler
As far as I could tell and the salesman. I was as far down/back as the seat would let me go. Just wondering if it had a standard 8 way seat and perhaps a 10way might have a bit more?
It surprised me that my head was rubbing. Damned if i don't want to fit in it though!
Perhaps there was something wrong with the seat as well... I will have to see if I can get in a C350 to sit/test.

Anyway - the standard seats are on the smallish side for 6'2". Consider a set of top-line Recaros or OE C63 seats.
Seats are best upgrade in any car unless it has fabulous ones already.
Also, you could order any C-Class in Canada (including C350) without a sunroof by PA1 special order, however, it would have to be a cash/finance deal.
