Getting Rid of my lease a year early
Has anyone done this with benz?
my lease ends in one year but ive already done the max amount of mileage for my car
im at 78500 and the limit is 72000 for my 39 month lease
anyway, i told them i need to get rid of this car without penalty and that i'd lease a brand new e550 coupe immediately.
they're working on the numbers now and will get back to me!
Hope this works out cause im stoked on getting the E coupe!
but my general question was if anyone has done this?

2 years into my fathers lease on a Lexus ES350 he was offered to swap his car for a brand new RX350 without any penalty . . Long story short, they were asking an arm and a leg for the RX350 monthly payments.
So I am with Sportstick on this one. The price they'll offer you is probably going to be a lot more than what you're paying now.

Im sure they wont bust out a move like that because we are one of their preffered customers
we got the SL65 black series from them (1 of 2 in canada )
just got a new S63 AMG
we have 2 different 2008 C classes
and a 2007 S550
they usualy give us good rates and big discount prices!
so hopefully it will continue!
i'll keep you updated

You're going to take a hit one way or another. As one person already said...they may supposedly agree to not penalize you...but the money they're losing will be made up for somehow. i.e. slapping an additional $50/month onto the new lease payment.
This idea isn't a whole lot different than someone buying a new car and rolling the negative equity from their current vehicle into the new purchasing terms.
We're talking about a two year old car with 78,500 miles. At that rate, the car will exceed the mileage for even an extended warranty by the time it's four years old. I can't imagine it'll be worth a whole lot when MB tries to sell it.
Edit:
From the sounds of it...your company having to pay a few dollars per month won't be that big of a deal.

Don`t expect miracles you`re 6500 miles over the contract I`ll bet it`s at about .20/.25 a mile. Yes you are turning it in 1 year early but the dealer isn`t going to love a 80,000 mi. 2 year old car. You are probably indebted to them for about $9000 including lease and mileage overage, [ that's just a guess don't know your payments] You will pay the lions share of whatever it is. But that's the cheapest way because the amount of miles you drive. It`s probably a wash if you kept the car and put another 30000 mi on it you`ll pay $9000 in mile overage but then there is some very expensive warranty maintenance costs. You probably know already to buy the extra miles up front in the new lease you`ll save money.

Reread his location. Km, not miles.

They not just going to eat the remaining 12 payments. Like someone said they're gonna roll your remaining payments into the payments of the new car...no matter how many cars you buy from them. They may not tell you that...but that's what's gonna happen. You're payment on the E coupe is gonna be $$$$...even more so than it would be before rolling your payments over.
Mercedes Financial will only truly buy out the last 5 payments...meaning they won't roll them over into the payments on your new Mercedes

It's just a negotiation, you have the lease so work up your numbers from there plus the price you are willing to accept for the new unit and go discuss the situation. You'll know what's fair based in past experience... and talk it over with decision makers not flunky salesmen.

I will be in the exact same situation as you.. I've had my car for 1 yr and a month and I'm at 30k already. 24k km limit yearly.. I would like to know what the dealer gives you too. I've been thinking of returning the car half a year earlier..

I had some experience selling, so this struck a chord. I remember high end customers, with leverage, who had me work hard for them, and then work the deal with their "loyalty", so that I wound up making under $50.

I work for the family business!
Your status as a high end owner may cause them to take extraordinary measures to satisfy you, as you suggest. If you pursue this strongly and they eat more of the loss than MB will support, and the margin on the new deal goes down or disappears, the store will feel some of it....the salesperson will take the biggest hit on his commission, based on the gross margin, despite the holdback. Having him work for (almost)/nothing may or may not matter to you if you think he did a good job.

My salesman will be willing to take a hit on this because he left MB a year ago and went to Porsche..so we started dealing with another sales person.
Now he's at a different MB dealership and desperately wants our business back! I told him if he can't hook me up on this one, my other saleswoman can...so maybe this ''transaction'' he will not benefit from, but all future purchases/leases with him and MB will depend on what he does for us in this situation (keep payments as low as possible and avoid penalties for getting rid of an early lease)
If i were them, i would just take a tiny hit, seeing as we purchased some hefty cars from them, and more to come.
Already giving them to a friend, sorry!
side markers i can hook you up with but they have little chips in them!
but you can always spray em with a new coat.

btw I want to know your outcome too so I can be prepared to either get owned by the dealer or I have a chance to get away with it by leasing another MB.
