LOW BEAM REPLACEMENT BULB
SO MURPHY'S LAW IS IN EFFECT... MY RIGHT LOW BEAM HAS BLOWN...
AFTER ABOUT 30,000 KMs / 1 YEAR 3 MONTHS.
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO CHANGE OUT THAT BULB. IM A FAN OF THE STOCK HALOGENS THAT ARE IN THERE NOW 5000k...
SO CAN I BUY THESE SOMEWHERE AND INSTALL MYSELF...
OR WOULD I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP?
THANKS

You can easily find replacement H7 bulbs on both the interwebz and/or any car parts store. Even some audio shops have spare lights for sale. You might wanna look at replacing both since the color probably won't match if you replace only one. I recommend the Philips Diamond Vision lights.

Like snarling said, I would recommend the Philips Diamond Vision if you want the 5000k look. I've been using it for quite a while and no problems at all.

stay away from any bulb that has blue hue tinted on them..
they may look cool, but you will be in lots of truble when it's heavy rain or fog..
your owners manual should have instructions about how to replace the bulb..it's pretty easy..

Edit: if you're talking about these bulbs in terms of light output/lumens during fog/rain. You may be right. To a degree though. Depending on the color temps, say around 4300k, 5000k, or even the low 2000k (yellow), you'll probably have plenty of visible light output under heavy weather conditions.

BUT CAN YOU POST SOME PICS OF THOSE BULBS.
I DEFINITELY DON'T WANT BLUE TINT...
I LOVE THE PURE WHITE LOOK OF THE STOCK 5000K HID'S **I THINK THEY MIGHT EVEN BE 4500K** THE OUTPUT IS NICER THAN MOST BULBS IVE SEEN... IT'S SO CLEAN.
ILL TAKE A LOOK @ THAT SITE THANK E-92LIGHTING

OP, I'd take a look at Royce's profile. I'm sure he has a picture of his diamond vision fogs somewhere on these forums. (Just tried looking for em, can't find em X_X)
There really isn't a blue tint at all for any lights between the low end spectrum (4300k-5000k), and in fact, I'm sure your stock 5000ks are actually 4300ks, since that's how they come from the factory. In my opinion, they look quite nice.
In response to JustThinking. The article does bring up a few points, but correct me if I'm wrong, it seems as if it's referring to lights that actually output BLUE light. It does address the tint, but seems to address the issue towards cars with blue lights that are in the 8000k+ spectrum. Seeing as how his lights are going to either be 5000k or 4300k, I don't think it would be much of an issue, even if the bulbs are "blue." And I know the "white" color was referenced as well, as well as the issue of glare, legality, etc. But there are also a few points to counter the arguments listed on this credible site as well. The halogen projectors as well as the HID projectors are factory aimed and have a cutoff point. They do not aim (in my view/observation) more than two and a half to three feet off the ground unless adjusted by the owner otherwise, and do not have an effect on oncoming traffic, as well as pedestrians seeing as the passenger's side is aimed a few inches lower than the driver's side as well. In terms of glare, once again, the lights are yellow/white, so don't worry, I'm sure the pupils of drivers in the oncoming traffic lanes will constrict. But in addition to that, as mentioned, the projectors aim down so what other drivers will be seeing is a mere color of light that probably equals the brightness of a turn signal at the angle the light is perceived. In terms of legality, well, 8000k seems to be the threshold in states like California, but many other states have no laws on lighting mods unless they go to the extreme (ie, police lights >_>). But even if they were illegal, it all comes down to the decision of the owner and whether he's willing to take the risk or not. It's the same situation as people with tints in socal. But all in all, a good little potential warning I guess. Nice find.
Also, OP....is the use of all caps really necessary? Your grammar is more than fine from what I can comprehend.

Yes the Diamond/Crystal visions are halogens. So you'll want to get D1S bulbs. You can try the Mtec ones from e92-lighting or try to find a cheaper set elsewhere. The ones on iJDM are 90, but cheaper really necessary mean they're all that good either :3 I think one member on these forums has the D1S bulbs from iJDM toy. In terms of the Mtec bulbs, I'd do a search on those. A lot of BMW people use Mtec bulbs and haven't had much of a problem with em.

I think you can opt to switch them with Philips Xenon bulbs as well. I remembered a forum member here switching from the stock bulbs to the Philip ones.

Yeah the ebay ones are good but it seems they don't have your desired 5000ks.
"Color Available: 4300K, 6000K, & 9000K." But then below that they have
"Color Choices: 4300K: Stock OEM Color 5100K: Sunlight White 6000K: Diamond White 9000K: Aqua Blue White"
I guess the 5100k will work for you if it's available then.
