dead bugs stuck in evaporator coil

I was washing my car yesterday after came back from the weekend trip down to Southern California and noticed quite a few dead bugs stuck on the evaporator coil..
My instinct was to hose down the coil and flush the dead bugs out, but I thought better of it and decide to ask before I do anything regrettable..

What do you guys do w/ the dead bugs stuck in the gaps of the evaporator coil?

When I wash the car, I blast away at them several times while I am washing. I usually take my time while washing the car and by the time I am ready for a final rinse, they are all softened up and hose our pretty easily.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
If you can reach it, use a soft toothbrush and use gentle one-way strokes.

That's the condenser (the evap is inside) and you have to be careful not to push the debris through without washing it out the bottom so as not to block the radiator.

This will not impress the concours or gold tooth brigade .Please see attachment.

I cut strips of fly wire to size & glued them into place in the grill in front of the condenser.

Only very small insects & dirt now enter & flow through both condenser. intercooler ( diesel) & radiator.

One of the greatest causes of engine failure is through overheating .

other than blast/hose the condenser coil, any other way to remove all the bugs?
I tried a handheld vaccum which works for the spots I can reach w/ the vac but not the other area..

You better leave them alone.
They usually dry and fly away.

Speaking of bugs...when I replaced my engine air filters I found a lot of bugs on the air filter elements. Decided that I need to open them up every 6 months to remove the accumulation of bugs.
