Subwoofer Size Advice

Norm, I have a 12w7 prowedge and a 500/1, that I will have professionally installed soon. I have a couple of questions for you:
1) Are you using a cleansweep?
2) If you are not using a cleansweep how does it sound without it? You just use the MM "Bass" controls?
3) If no cleansweep, do you just tap into the sub wire in the trunk amp and its purely a "sub" signal?
