Just bought your 4300 for my parking lights.

I am looking for a list of needed bulbs for interior for 2013 as well as which need to be canbus.

I saw you have no kit on your website, so I am wondering what is needed. Thanks!

Great to hear.

Yeah, the new design is a tighter fit, but real estate on the small bulb unit is really at a premium with all the components we tried packing into it. On the plus side, with the tighter fit, you won't have to worry about the bulb accidentally falling out.

Euroracer, did you have any issue with the license plate bulbs?? For the life of me, I can not get them to fit. They are approx. 1/16 of an inch to long and won't allow me to lock them in place. I did not want to have them making direct contact with the lens. I actually still have them in the bag...not sure if I will find another home for them or not.

Really? We've done a few installs on the rear plates and were able to fit the bulb in without issue.

Got the bulbs in but have been having a hard as heck time removing the stock parking light bulbs. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have needle nose pliers but I can barely get a hold of the bulb socket to pull out.

Try twisting the socket a bit to try to loosen and dirt/debris that might be clogging the assembly. Angled needle nosed pliers are great. No matter what, don't pull by the wires no matter how tempting. You run the risk of stripping the wire if you do so.

Hi Azn,

I decided to keep the 4200k for my interior after driving a 2016 C300 I really like the natural look of that color temp on the interior.

Is there any way you can source a 4200k festoon though? I saw you only had 5000k.

Thanks!

Trying to source the right 4300K SMD chip that would work with our festoon design.

You can try shifting your install point by inserting them further in past the base resistors.

Please keep me apprised on this. I'm going to do some testing on this too by shifting install contact point.
Sorry it took me soooo long to reply but as of now all but 1 are working. I removed them and reinstalled. I only notice error codes once every 20 or so starts such as check right parking lamp. Could have been install error but I'm not sure. I was thinking of going with v4.5 but wanted to check back with you first.

They should either always throw codes or not at all as the LEDs are digital. Your situation sounds like underpowered socket. When you get the codes 1/20 times, is it really cold? Could be failing wire insulation. We could try a replacement unit though if you want to try. Shoot me a PM with mailing address.

Are your interior and exterior LEDs the same? Tried putting in a set into my overhead console but they wouldn't fit.

By overhead, you mean the dome light? front or rear? What year is your C class?

Hmm, wasn't aware there were any difference between you year and our 08 204 dome, but will investigate. In the mean time, shoot us an email (aznoptics@gmail.com) with your mailing address and we'll swap out the units you have for plasma panels which we know shouldn't have any clearance issues.

So these latest 194, are they going to last longer than the earlier versions?
I have about 4 or 5 bulbs from early 2013 that are flickering or completely dead. They're all on the eyebrows/licence plate. Seems like it is heat related as both locations don't have much ventilation. Is it worth it to get the new version?

Early 2013 should be our V2 model, maybe our V3. These new V5 design are much better. COB based diodes run cooler and are more reliable than previous gen SMDs. We also have built in constant current IC drives which are better at protecting the units from low to mid level surging. There are better surge protecting components out there that can handle higher level surging, but I'm constrained by space on such a small unit, but we believe what's on this chip represents the best available given the restrictions.

That said, we are never one to rest on our laurels and always looking to improve our products. Even though V5 were just recently released, we are experimenting with some new chip components CREE just recently released for a potential V6 model, but that'll be down the line.
