Did your dealer give you a gift when you bought your new W204? I just picked up new W204 and got bupkis. I've always gotten little gifts in the past, key rings, winter mats, once even roses.

He didn't even offer me a soda when I arrived to pick it up. Maybe I expect too much?

I purchased my car in Nov of 09 and got a Mercedes blanket and a $50 gift card to Saks

 

I got a free MB floor mat, umbrella and a bottle of water when I bought my car.

 

I got a keychain and a gift card to the parts department towards mats or whatever..And they offered me a drink multiple times haha.

Out of curiosity..which dealer? I bought my last car in Boston and didn't get anything either.

I got really nice flowers, and I bought the car at dealer purchase price, no profit for the dealer what so ever.

Two key rings and a Saks 50.00 gift card. Never used the gift card.

 

Got 3 key chains and a set of cufflinks. Was treated very well during every visit with coffee and soda.

 

I got it at Prime Mercedes, Westwood.

 

I got from the dealer 2 Key Chains, IPod glove box holder, Mercedes Umbrella, Mercedes PCMCIA reader and then I got a thank you card from the dealer with a free day to Four Seasons Spa which included 2 treatments ie Message and Fascial. This was for an E-Class Coupe. On the previous car I got 2 Key Chains, Ipod glove box holder and Mercedes Umbrella at pick up and I got with a thank you card a $100 Macy's gift car that was for a CLK.

Then I got a Mercedes Benz Wallet and $50 GC to Saks in the mail from Mercedes Benz USA like 2 months after my E-Class purchase. MBUSA sent me a Mercedes Benz leather paper holder with a Cross Mercedes Benz pen and $100 GC to Saks on my CLK purchase.

I have bought over 10 cars from the same salesman and all were Mercedes. MBF waived the disposition fee for me on my CLK even tho I did not lease my E-Class Coupe because they claimed I was a good customer, as I lease about 1/2 of the cars I buy only and other 1/2 I pay cash unless they happen to qualify for super low rate interest rate. I told MBF over the phone when the dealer got them to waive the disposition fee when they asked why I was not leasing or financing my E-class Coupe. I told the gal over the phone, I do not lease cars with money factors which equal 7% when interest rates are 0% nor do I take car loans with 7% interest rates either, which is why I prefer to pay cash this time but if next time I buy a car, the rates make sense then I will lease over buying. The Gal very nicely said she fully understood what I was saying and currently MBF is well aware of the fact that the current leases rates and purchase rates on E-Class Coupes and Cabs are not very attractive but that is because MB drastically cut production of both cars vs CLK production. And as long as both models continue to sell well, MBUSA see no reason to subsidize either model.

 

I got the most basic fake "leather" key fobs, and one month later received a book about mercedes history (went straight into the garbage)

No drink offer. So no didnt get anything either

 

Well ........ I didn't get the presents but when Elaine signed the paperwork for the car she recieved from her salesman the typical 2 key rings and saks gift card also. But when picking up the car she also recieved black aluminum front and rear license plate frames and best yet a certificate for a massage and facial and a local spa she was quite happy !

 

I bought a used 05 C55 AMG 2 months ago from MB of Westmont, IL and got water, 2 nice Leather/Metal keychain's and then in the mail I got a $100 GC for Saks. I wasn't expecting anything for buying a used car so it was all a bonus. Been back to the dealer twice since and have had excellent service, free MB loaner and so far $0 in service fee's. They treat me like I recently bought a new $60k car not a used one for $20k.

i got MB umbrella, SLR scale model, MB name card holder, MB watch, bucket of snacks and a bottle of wine and some random stuffs I couldn't remember, was a very good experience actually, they lead me into this room where people drive off their new cars, as the person explains how everything works u can have tea and food, so i mucked around until i had enough then drive off, they don't shoo me away, just left me alone checking out my car after explaining
now i think back, it was awesome

 

Wow, that's weird.. My dealership back in Germany invited me to about half a dozen cocktail hours at the dealership..offered me espresso, coffee, beer, champagne, water, soda, etc every time I walked in the door.. very hospitable. They gave me a pair of Mercedes baseball caps when I signed.

edit: I picked up my car from the factory, so I got a tour when I picked it up and two Mercedes lanyards. Also I got mine under a special buyer program which gave me 10% off everything, with no taxes or fees.

All I would have gotten were the two key chains, but then I asked for the all weather mats. You have to speak up, obviously they dont want to give you anything.
