FOG LIGHT GLASS COVER BROKEN.

Today I found out that my right fog light glass cover was broken. I supposed that it was hit by small rocks when I was drving on the freeway. Does anyone have any idea how much it's gonna cost me?

Thanks for the info. But I did a search for "lamin-x", and could not find your thread.

Thanks.
I am kinda busy recently. I might not be able to get it fixed in the near future. Is that fine if I just drive with the broken cover? Can I even wash the car while the fog light cover is broken??

Are piece of the lens missing?

Don't know if it matters as I had something wrong with mine originally where they fill about 1/3rd with water. Would have expected a blown fuse or something but nothing really happened. Dealer did something to correct the problem but not sure if they replaced them or not.

This is from parts.com for a non AMG bumper. Assuming it's not covered under warranty you could get it there.

Happens to a lot of people here...myself included...just poor quality but of course it's not covered under warranty. I got it replaced at the dealer for $230...they have to replace the entire fog light...not just the lens.

Mine was busted for a few weeks (the entire lens cracked and fell off) before i took it to get fixed and never had any problems with rain or water getting in there and causing problems.

I picked one up at my local dealer for around $150 and replaced it myself. Only took about 30 mins.

Do you need to take the whole bumper off in order to replace the fog light?

some pieces of the lens are missing. I would say, there is a hole about the size of 2 quarters.

Anyone who does not get these covered with protective film like 3M will get a broken one sooner or later.

It cost me $30 installed and lights look like new after 2 years.

$157 for the part after taxes at Helms Bros - Bayside.

Add $180 for one hour of labor (you may be able to negotiate this if you mention that the fog light grill is held on by just three screws. I didn't know tihs at the time.....)

Fixed mine the other day and it cracked that same night. Lamin x cover is worth every penny according to many on tihs board. Might buy a large sheet of protective film and cut out some for the headlamps as well. (Has anyone ever thought about applying protective film to the WINDSHIELD? I'm assuming there would be glare and haloing problems...)

You might be able to find one on ebay for about $90-$100.
