I used industrial strength Velcro and put it on the plastic wheel well area. Velcro holds like glue and if I ever need to reposition or check the ballast I can just pull it off and stick it right back on.

which one did you use? is 3m dbl sided tape + zip tie is enough?

i used both. I put tape under and also the zip tie. Just to make sure it doesn't fly out. There is a metal piece towards the middle area, right around the grill. I put it there because it seemed stable.

My problem is that the ballast is not a slim one...
