New LED tail lights? recommendations please.

Hi guys,

Anyone know which LED tail lights are better? Fit wise, quality-wise, and any clarity on the light patterns for signaling, parking and braking?

They seem to just show pics with just the parking lights on?

Unless you already had OE LED lamps, I don't see anything in either one about error cancel capability. These may produce the fault message in the instrument cluster.

Good point, I actually do have the OEM LED's but I want to tint my tail lights and figure its a good idea to do so with a second set since I may want to change it back or if I get a fix it ticket. So my second set will be tinted while I can keep my OEM set stock.

So if I already have OEM LED lights, does that mean I should not get any error codes?

I've had the second link ones installed for 6 months. They look awesome, work perfectly, and I did NOT get any error. I highly recommend Delirium.

Hey SCGuy, in the pictures you attached, it looks like you have the ones from the 2nd link, can you confirm?

BTW they look great! Did you have LED's from the factory as well?

YES. 2nd Link, not first..sorry about that! Nope, I don't have P2 on my car, so non-LED tails to start out with. I was fully expecting to get an error on the dash when I ordered them..but was pleasantly surprised when I didn't. I got a comment on them when I took it in for the service B a few months ago...the techs loved them. Anything else you need/want to know just ask!

Yep Elaine, totally plug and play. They use your stock reverse, and upper bulbs. You just remove your lower bulbs and plug in the LED adapter. They work perfectly.

Ummm I dont think they're LEDs... I think they are just normal bulbs that looks like LEDS because of the number of small bulb used?

Negative. They def. are LED's. The instant, crisp light up..plus the obvious brightness...they are definitely LED's

SCguy, so do you think that these lights are specifically designed for cars w/o the factory LED's? Meaning that it wont work on my car which has OEM LED's?
Just reading your install instructions and it sounds like its made for cars w/o the factory LED's.

My install instructions were not very thorough. Haha. I'm 99.9% positive that they will work on your car, or any 204' for that matter. That's why there was an issue when I ordered mine with the seller telling me that there was going to be an error showing up..because my car didn't come stock with the P2 (LED) tails and his original post said they would only work for cars that had the LED's already. However, they did work..and with no error. When I told the seller about it after I installed, he changed his posting accordingly. I was one of the first to order them I guess so it was a learning process for everyone. Here's the seller..and link..to the exact ones that I ordered. Notice at the bottom what he has included as far as what models they will fit (all of them).
Hope this helps!

And just for reference, he has the same ones with the turn signal part smoked. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...item1e5c20051f

I'd go for those ^.

The lights in the first link look like they were just trying to add as many LEDS as possible.

The first link looks nice, but in terms of the LED pattern I don't like funky C-shaped LED arrangement around the clear portion. When lit I like the second link.

I would like to see both the top and bottom red rows in LEDs -- haven't seen anything that that yet.

Go with either the second link, or these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/08-10...ht_5484wt_1165

They are the same as the ones in the second link, but the middle portion is blacked out, looks great! The first ones look cheap and corny, the brake light pattern on it is confusing as hell, and the turn signal is confusing... It looks like a cheap knock-off where they tried putting LED all over the place and is cluttered.

I installed my LED tails and got the error message. Just great, another reason to hate this car.
